Yeah, its late and I was bored as heck. Just used some rough dimensions off the top of my hear of the rear opening of a Chevy Express. Heres a design I did for 12 SAZ-1500Ds, 12 Eminence Alpha 6s, 4 Eminence Alpha 12s, and 2 Selenium Bullets. Probably wouldnt work mounting amps like that, but this was just done out of boredom. Hey, it took up some time and looks pretty cool, so it works for me. Eventually i do want a bunch of mids/highs back there though. Any thoughts on the design? And yes, the amps are to scale.... 17"x 10"x 2". As are the 6s, 12s, and Bullet tweeters. Probably going to do another tonight just for fun again.

Extreme class cars burp usually 70hz+. Many burp right at 80hz. The reason is.... Well, I dont know. Extreme class doesnt really have any rules. Any rule you thought you knew about car audio doesnt exist in Extreme class. There is no rhyme or reason to the way things work. Its just those crazy bastards that compete in it actually figured it out!

When a car is throwing up numbers like that it honestly isnt even fun to be in for any period of time. Its cool for about 45 seconds to a minute, but thats about it. Will Alfonso's truck would burp a low 160 and Bassrace a 156 or so, and that just isnt fun. I compare that to this because of the peak at 50hz. His peaks right around 55hz iirc. Im sure they are pretty similar, and honestly, Ive never had a car put the hurting on me like Will's. Im sure this bitch is just flat out PAINFUL the way it is now. And with only having 2k a sub, it will play alllllllllllll day. Cant wait to see some good videos.

Yeah, Im just going to see what sounds good. What works on paper and what really works when you listen to it isnt always the same, so Ill just take the 10 mins and cross them over the way I want. Doesnt have to be perfect since im not going for SQ here, just something that sounds fine to me on music.

The 12s are only supposed to play to 300? Ive heard em playing wayyyy higher than that and they sounded just fine to me. And the speakers will be crossedover. I got a Pioner 880 and Ill set them up for whatever sounds best, even if it isnt the loudest.

Ill have the 12s play from around 80hz to whatever... They can pretty much play anything. The frequency range is 51hz to 4.3khz. I have the 6s playing in my room right now and they sound just fine without a tweeter. The 6s and 12s will be doing basically the same thing. Its the same speaker, one is just a 12" and the other is a 6.5". Ill have the 12s play lower than the 6s though, to really get some crisp vocals and decent midbass. And the tweets will just play the higher stuff. How much will you sell the 6s for Joey?

Well its official! I just bought 4 Eminence Alpha 12s and 8 Selenium Bullet tweeters. Will be reusing the 8 Alpha 6s I have also. Was going to do 8 6s, 8 8s, 4 12s, and 8 tweets, but its just too much money. Instead of all 100.2s, Ill be running a 100.4 on the 8 6s, a 100.4 bridged on the 4 12s, and a 100.2 on the 8 Bullets. Yeah, bigger midrange speakers like 12 and 15s gives a real throaty, crisp sound to vocals. In cars with alot of 12s/15s for midrange you can actually feel the deep vocals from chopped n screwed music in your chest. Like you said, the tweets wont play very low, but the 6s can play higher notes just fine. I run the 6s in my room without tweets and they sound just fine. An Eminence 6 without a tweet has louder highs than most component sets.

The 12s will be taking the same frequencies as the 6s mostly. Its actually built to be a pro audio loudspeaker, used in stadiums/concerts/etc. Not using as a midbass, just midrange.

Yeah, I need something like a SAX1600.4! I have decided on the bass, though. 24 AA Chaos 15s ran by 12 SAZ-1500Ds. Big sealed box, most likely a clamshell. All the speakers will be ran active. Same freqs for the 6s and 8s (its basically the same thing), the tweets will be ran at what sounds good, and same with the 12s.

Not exactly sure yet what the new mids/highs setup will entail, but Im thinking this sounds pretty good right now. Without the 8 8s, the total of everything will only be $370. With the 8s it will be a total of $712... Plus having to buy 6 amps instead of 4. Would like to have 2 6s and 2 8s and 2 tweets per door. Inside the cabin, on the wall, Id like to have the mids on the sides of the enclosures on the trim pannels. Id have each side vertically stacked, with a 6, an 8, and a 12, from top to bottom. Would have 2 tweeters on each side, most likely at the top. Each 6 and 8 would be seeing 100rms each. Each Bullet Tweeter would see 50rms, and each 12 would see 200rms. Not sure if Ill go with the 8s, but if I can get the money in time, Ill definately do it. If I do go with the 8s and the 2 extra amps, should look crazy when I open the back and show off 18 Sundown Amplifiers. Any thoughts, comments, constructivie criticisms? I find it funny that the knock-off is more expensive.

Fast cars are ok.... But when you're driving a 4 ton tank that can do mid 150s, speed isnt your first priority.

You dont even wanna know how much glue/screws were in my box for the wall with the BTLs. You would shit yourself. I dont see any reason not to use screws..... Just put a couple in just to be sure. Cant hurt anything.

This sub sounded great. You couldnt tell the music was coming from a subwoofer... Sounded like the actual intrument that was producing it.
