Thanks man. I went to a dealership today and they said that they could not replace the cluster unless they see the problem occuring. The problem with that is that it only happens every once in a while, and I can't leave work on my lunch(when it has occured both times) to go to the dealership. Should I try a different dealership or not worry about the problem? They checked my VIN and I am covered under the replacement program.

But I don't understand why BOTH the tach and the oil pressure hit zero. AutoZone said it sounds like a computer problem, I think I'll take it to a dealer tomorrow and have them check it out.

I have a 2004 silverado 5.3L with 46xxx miles, I just bought this truck at the beginning of July. I'll be driving along and the oil pressure slowly starts to drop and then goes all the way to zero. The same thing happens with the tach. The truck keeps running and the oil is full. This has happened to me twice now, and it makes mad because I spent quite a bit of money on this truck. Any ideas of whats wrong?

Give the starter a good whack with a big wrench. Also check all electrical connections going to the battery, starter and alternator. Try jump starting the truck just to make sure you have enough powa to get it running! LOL

Yea, I was planing on measuring the box rise before we attempted to wire the subs down to .5 ohm nominal. Hopefully the box rise will put the impedance right where we want it.

I told you we need to calculate box rise to see what the amp is actually seeing. Gotta go to radioshack and buy an ammeter first. BTW he's my little brother.

Set it to 12V+ and make sure your remote has 12V+ at the amp.

Sounds like the deck doesn't have a lot of pre-out voltage. What are the other 2 switch settings you have on the amp. Definitely check the remote wire and make sure you don't have it hooked up to an antenna power(will only work in tuner mode)

If your set on the P1s then get a pair of p500-1bd amps and wire each side parallel to each amp. It should move some air, your better of tuned around 35 hz. My older brother has 4 P2 15s run off a ZX1000.1 and its just starting to do a :hairtrick: ! You will have more cone and more power, so it should wang perty good!

Ya, happened to me, except I have air horns on my truck. Going through town and all of the sudden it started honking, scared the crap out of me, and everyone else! Found out my solenoid air valve broke and let the air out. (took about 30 seconds to empty a 1.5 gallon tank)
