Many thanks to all for the outpouring of blessings and well-wishes during this incredibly difficult time." The Los Angeles Times reported that a Newport Beach Police Department officer witnessed the crash and saw Lewis' red Ferrari and a white Porsche spinning out of control just before 1 a.m. Wednesday. The Ferrari then hit the curb and collided into a pole. Charles "Mask" Lewis (www.tapout.com / Special to FOXSports.com) "It was terrible," Newport Beach Lt. Craig Fox told the Times. "It was extensive damage to the vehicle." A woman in the Ferrari was ejected from the vehicle and was in stable condition at a local hospital. Police haven't determined if she was the driver or passenger of the Ferrari, according to the Times. Police later arrested the driver of the Porsche, Jeffrey David Kirby, and charged him with gross vehicular manslaughter. He was being held on $1 million bail. There was a 50-mph limit on the road, but police believe both cars were traveling well above that limit, according to a report on KTLA.com. The Newport Beach Police Department told FOXSports.com that Lewis' car was a 2004 Modena Ferrari. That Modena can reach speeds of more than 180 mph and retails for almost $200,000. Lewis and Dan "Punkass" Caldwell founded TapouT in 1997 as a clothing and MMA gear retailer. In addition to retail, the private company also signed deals with fighters, including Kimbo Slice, and is a sponsor of fight events.

Cowboys Will Release Roy L. Williams In addition to wide receiver Terrell Owens, 105.3 The FAN has learned that the Dallas Cowboys will also be releasing SS Roy L. Williams from the team. Newy Scruggs, middday host for 105.3 The FAN, spoke with Williams late Wednesday night, where Williams confirmed the team's plans to cut him. In seven seasons playing for the Cowboys, Williams was the starting safety in 98 games, recording 508 tackles and 19 interceptions. He was named to the NFL Pro Bowl five times, only the fourth Cowboys safety to do so (joining Cliff Harris, Mel Renfro and Darren Woodson). The NFL outlawed the "horse collar" tackle following Williams' stop of Terrell Owens (while the receiver was with Philadelphia) which broke Owens' leg. The penalty was unofficially known as the "Roy Williams Tackle." In 2008, he missed 15 games with a broken arm.

The move to cut Owens comes a season after the team gave him a four-year, $34 million extension that included a $12 million bonus. When asked about now cutting the receiver, one Cowboys source said, "It was the right thing to do," alluding to the fact that the team is trying to create a more harmonious locker room. The team already released talented but troubled cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones this offseason. The Cowboys lost three of their past four games to miss the playoffs this past season and during that time there was highly publicized friction among Owens, quarterback Tony Romo and tight end Jason Witten. It was believed that Owens, 35, felt he wasn't getting enough passes because Romo looked more for his friend Witten. The Cowboys wanted to put Romo in position to be a leader on the team for 2009 and obviously this move supports that notion. In May 2008, Owens told the Dallas Morning News he "definitely" wanted to finish his career in Dallas and enter the Hall of Fame as a Cowboy. Owens had 69 receptions last season for 1,052 yards and 10 touchdowns. Just a few weeks ago, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones indicated that T.O. was staying when he said, "You and I both know that the one that you're asking about all the time, if I gave you the answer that you want to hear, then you would've already had it. So the fact you don't have it ought to tell you something. It really should." Jones seemed to enjoy the publicity Owens stirred up as much as the touchdowns he scored. However, there were several in-house issues involving Owens that may have ultimately prompted Jones to decide the receiver wasn't worth the trouble he caused. Owens will count about $9 million against the cap. He has produced big numbers wherever he's played, but he's had problems with his starting quarterbacks. When he was with the San Francisco 49ers to start the decade, Owens and Jeff Garcia couldn't get along. Owens wasn't shy about hurling insults the quarterback's way. The 49ers dealt Owens to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004 and he helped spur the team to the Super Bowl, where Philly lost to the New England Patriots. A police report says 27-year-old Fort Pierce resident Latreasa L. Goodman told authorities she paid for a 10-piece last week but was later informed the restaurant had run out. She says she was refused a refund and told all sales were final. A cashier told police she offered Goodman a larger portion of different food for the same price, but Goodman became irate. "This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn’t have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don’t want one," Goodman told police, according to The Stuart News. "This is an emergency." Police say Goodman was cited on a misuse of 911 charge. A current phone listing for Goodman couldn't be found. A McDonald's spokesman says Goodman should have been given a refund, and she's being sent a gift card for a free meal.
