  1. so he has done them before? did he say what kind of link setup he's gonna put in ?? you should go over that cause then he can incorperate the crossmembers that have to be built for your lower bars already in with the design of the frame ( mounting tabs, mounting tab locations, upper bag bracket locations, upper link bar lenghts need to be measured for the upper linkbar mounting tabs. ) that way u don't have to redo shit or add on , it just makes for less hassles and headaches, know what i mean
  2. your set up is very similar to mine , i got 2 viair 380's , 8 gallon tank, re 6's up front , re 7's out back, 3/8'' asco valves, 3/8'' line, my 4link needs to be changed out tho , my ''top'' bars ( the triangled ) are reverse , so i dont get as much lift as the re 7's can give me , that will be fixed soon !! btw , dont change out your line yet till you can get use to the switches, u will be able to control your lift and drop speed once your used to them . i might go with a 1/2'' valve for my rear drop ( exhaust ) cause with my bed being so light , it drops way to slow for my liking, oh well , time to make changes !!! also , you should have that notch fully welded , i know you said ur getting it done all over with a new frame , but make sure stuff like that doesn't happen again, if you are having a shop do it , have them take pictures of their progress along the way so u can see the detailed work that u might not see when its all done and things are hidden from view. also did you tuck away all that stuff that was on ur wheel wells, hell of a fuckin job , huh ??? are you gonna change out your factory brake booster ?? it will probably be in the way, depending on your wheel size . there are ALOT of stuff u have to do once you body drop , cause you are going 3-4'' more than just '' laying frame '' . imo, trucks/suv's dont look good unless your totally layed out ( body on the ground ) so keep making progress , you'll be pleased in the end !!!! mini-trucks ftw !!!! keep with the pics coming , i'm still trying to get pics of my toyota on here, soon i hope !!
  3. get a bag on bars setup for your 4link , especially if your gonna run big wheels ( 22'' and up ) . that way you'll get alot of lift , you might also have to tub your rear wheel wells , lotsa work !! , thats why you dont see many explorer and expeditions out there bagged n body dropped. just more incentive to do it and get it done right ! just make sure u use at least 3x3x1/4'' square tubing and gusset the shit out of it!!!! post some pics of your new frame when its done, as you can probably tell , i'm a mini trucker thru n thru !!!! tell me what equip. your putting in ( air suspension ) til then.......
  4. have you tried flipping your ball joints ???? also make sure you are not hitting any thing( ie. fire wall, tie rods ) . older trucks like that should layout pretty flat . what size wheel are you running ?? you might have to go with air ride technologies ART arms to get the correct control arm geometry so you dont get too bad of negative camber. cutting cups should not be your first '' solution '' . be safe , hope it works out for you and you get the stance your after !!!!
  5. looks like your lower bars are too short , thats why the axle is getting sucked forward. good idea to start over , definitely body drop it !!! , those ford's frame hangs down way too low so even if u were to lay frame , ur body would be like 3 '' off the ground , that dont look good!! there is alot of stuff u got to massage to get those fords laid out right, do take it to someone who has done them before !!! good luck also on your project , drag that shit when ur done , and post some pics , im trying to learn how to down load my toyota, mine has a traditional body drop past the pinch weld , so when i drag it actually drags body .........
  6. some people just need to stay out of the PEP BOYS accessories isle.....
  7. then maybe you can put some baseball cards in your wheel spokes...then attach a sattelite dish to the top of your roof so people think you got pay-per-view going on inside your ride..... come on now , are you serious?????!!!!!!
  8. get a flowmaster or magnaflow, i had a super 40 on my 01 s10 blazer and it sounded good! ( it had a 4.3 v6 ) , i had a magnaflow on it prior to the flowmaster , the both were deep and mellow. now on my 88 toyota minitruck, i also have a dual chamber super 40 flowmaster with a turn down right after the exit of the muffler, the truck has a 2.4 ( 4 cylinder ) and it sounds pretty good. you will never get the sound of a v8, but the flowmaster is as close as you are gonna get.... btw , dont get one of those cheap turbo mufflers , they will make a pinging sound at higher rpm , like your drivin' a big weedwacker
  9. he should of gotten a 110/150 pressure switch, then he would be good , not too smart on his part!!!
