  1. The only downside to running them unstrapped is trying to get gains matched up identically.
  2. Haha looked like she almost shit herself.. Good stuff right there man. Commin along great! -B
  3. Been on this forum for atleast 2 years without posting and i began looking at this thread for the insane sub stage but then seeing the high's and x-over setup blows me away just as much. Your work is awesome keep it up. Brett
  4. That would be Undisputed-Ice Cream But funny story. Burger king FTW
  5. I might be going to see it tonight if I do ill be sure to post a reply. Kinda looks good, i personally liked the newer texas chainsaw massacres better than some of the old leatherface movies but thats just my opinion. I dont think ill like this one better than the originals. I can just imagine if Rob Zombie made another 10 halloweens or however many there were. lol
  6. Haha i got it... The Real American JackAss Just playin man! Nice!
  7. Rofl thats the dumbest shit ive ever seen... He's got you beat on voice? Who gives a damn if you can hear someones crisp clean sq music a mile away, neighbors bitch enough about bass why would you wanna do that? And correct me if im wrong, higher freq are easier to hear than low... and i bet I could still hear Meades bass further away than his shit.. Dumbest thing ive ever seen/heard. Meade wins hands down.
  8. Well I just ordered my 2nd Eternal Might be stoppin by home depot for some supplies, im gonna start with 2 12's for now and then later buy another amp and 2 more and just cut the holes when i have the money for them. The tuning for the 4 will be 35 hz and the tuning for only 2 of them is just slightly lower than 34 hz. As soon as i get materials and stuff ill find my camera in my pile of packed things and get building and takin pics. Ill pick up amplifier kit this weekend. Im gonna buy a jasper circle and router before starting on this box, this will be a good one. Fiberglass the inside and stuff... Gonna copy alot of Meades techniques on this one. -Brett
  9. Yeah i know hes taken such good care of it its rediculous. Im scared that given it to me will be a mistake lol.
  10. Ight when i get home ill do that thankfully the girl is workin tonight. My dad just got remarried, we moved houses, then went up to MD this weekend to move his wife, her dad and her daughter down here to SC. So things have been kind of hectic. He just bought an 03 crew cab 4x4 silverado dually. Truck kicks ass. So thats why he gave me his old burban, its got 250,000 on it and still goin strong, might just swap the motor eventually. i want a tahoe like meades for space but this will do for now. I got some of my truck saved on the comp at home and ill get some of the burban sometime soon.
  11. Exactly. Thanks alot. ive been lurkin on these forums forever and im gonna start postin more.
  12. Trust me i was takin your word on it but i dont wanna have to make another post like this when i need to figure out another port.
  13. How'd you figure that out?
  14. Alright i see you want 12-16 square inches of port area per cubic foot of volume. So what if i did 12x12 and got 144 sq inches. obviously 14.4 square inches per cubic foot.
  15. Alright outer dimensions 46.5x15x36. Inner- 45x34.5x13.5. After sub displacement net volume is 10.5 ft^3. Like i said like Meades box i want a square port right in the middle of the box facing back. Now I know about the formulas for doing slot ports like for finding port length. But could someone get me pointed in the right direction of port area and length for 35 hz?
  16. That was my main question if i do one square port do i have to make it 3.5 per sub or could i just use say 10 cubes and design the port accordingly? And instead of saying i want 35 hz.. I wouldnt be competing just daily driver, would recommend more like 30 or what? Im completely fine on sealed enclosures but dont know anything about ported except that you get better SPL. So thats why im interested.
  17. I have a 95 silverado reg cab with 4 10's and no room left. My dad just gave me his 99 burban so i figured what the heck. I have a 12" audiobahn eternal and wanted to buy 3 more and design a huge ported box for it tuned to about 33 or so. My question is how do you know what volume to make the box? Audiobahn recommends like 3.5 gross volume for these subs but thats with 2 aero ports 4" by 16.25 or somethin like that tuned to 35. Or do you just use your space and design port according to the volume you have? I wanted about 10 ft^3 and i dont know the first thing about port design. Subs up port back right in the middle like steves i was thinking. As soon as i get home ill post up some measurements and hope someone could gimme an idea of port area etc. Just trying to get started. Thanks Brett
  18. ? Explain... I wondered this same thing Brett
