  1. I'm looking at my first house right now. My mortgage broker is working on getting me in at 5.75% on a 30 yr fixed. I hope all this works out.
  2. Ask to test drive the Yukon and get it checked out bya trusted mechanic. If they see no problem with the truck then take the deal. Keep in mind that gas will possibly swing back up on the high end so you maybe stuck with a higher fillup tab later on.
  3. For all you guys that says DLP blows, did any of you guys know that 90% of home theaters use DLP based projectors?

  5. try these Dayton Loudspeaker manual There relatively cheap, made by a good company, and no one besides the die hard audio folks car/home know about these.
  6. Here you go. I fixed it up for you. But on another note, how in the hell did this guy miss? I mean he threw both shoes and couldn't connect on either shoe?
  7. Nope I will run each amp at 2ohm. That's how I have them hooked up to the Autotek right now. The subs are dual 1ohm, wire each one in series and they go to 2ohms each. I'm liking design one the way it is. With the box I have right now I'm getting funky vibration noise comming from the rear hatch right now. I'm not sure if that's due to damping on my end or tuning offset on the box. One of the main problems I currently have with the box is that when I did the ports the front board was warpped inward a bit. That in turn threw my measurments off. The back L on the right chamber is about 3.25in wide as apose to the 4in in my design. So one of the chambers is off tune t what I had designed.
  8. So I've been running this box since August and I'm thinking about redoing it along with a few other changes. So the first design was was a dual chamber design that was tuned to 33htz. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">The subs are DC Level 4's with dual 1ohm Level 5 coils. Currently running of a Autotek MM4000.1D amp, however by next weekend the subs will each have a Kicker ZX2500.1 amp. This new box won't get built till spring but I figured I'd go ahead and start the new design process now. I like this box but I feel that I can get louder if I make a few changes. First would be to do away with the dual chamber ideal and go with a common chamber design. this will allow for more port area and ease of build. I also believe I can gain at least 1cuft of internal space just by removing the dividing board and one of the ports. So I have a few sketches up and I wanted to run them by you guys to see what you think. I'm thinking of going with design 1 but I wanted some more feedback. 1) 2) 3)
  9. I'm gonna bump this track at least once a day till the end of the year.
  10. Looking for a single amp that can give me around 4k rms off of two to three yellow top batteries and a 260 amp alternator. I'm trying to stay under $800 if at all possible but I'm willing to go up to a $900 if its a good solid amp. Want new, but I'm sure that's a pipe dream for the amount of money I'm willing to spend.
  11. I've got a third video up tonight. This one was done on my phone and not with the camera so the quality is lacking on this one. But I though it was still good enough to load up. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> "> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
  12. LOL.....I was at a wedding on Saturday and that is when I took that video. I notice I was in the vids to but I said fuck it. I know I'm a sexy big black man, I can't hate of devilish good looks....
  13. Here is another video I did tonight while getting gas for the burban. I used my camera phone for this video and the quality is def lacking in this video. But it was still pretty loud. I had the windows at the gas station flexing. But not like how Steve does it. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> "> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
  14. Nope I have a Pioneer HU and no need to turn the sublevel up on it. It's pretty fucking loud where it's at right now. I'm trying to save up to get a sound process such as an Audio Control or a 3Sixty, something that will give me more voltage on the pre-outs. My current unit only gives 2 volts out. I only use the boost to show off. I can't take that much bass all the time, I still vaule my ears and my hearing. So with normal listening the boost is at 0. I do have a digital multimeter, how can I use that to set my gains correctly? I've seen that an Olioscope was the best way to truly set your gains but I don't have money or a place to store something like that.
  15. Not without taking out the third row seats, which is something I'm not willing to do. 1) I don't have a place to keep them if I take them out of the truck, and 2) I think it's cooler to have a pair of 18's in a suburban with all my seats intact. I might can squeeze an extra cubic inch or so if I re-design the box. Make it a single chamber/port design.
  16. Box is a dual chamber with each chamber seeing right around 5.4cuft. Tuning is right around 34hz and I'm running a single Autotek Mean Machine MM4000.1D. I'm thinking that each sub is seeing right around 1.5K rms... I don't believe the amp is pushing over 3k right now even through I have it wired in 2 channel mode with a 2ohm load on each channel. According to Maxxsoinc that amp at 14.4v is suppose to kick out 2k rms per channel at 2 ohm. I'm probably averaging around 13.95v while driving. Also, the only thing hooked up to that yellow top battery is this Amp. My HU and other equipment including door amp is running off the factory battery.
  17. Something else I forgot to mention. The newer Tahoe/Suburbans have a feature in them that's controlled by the trucks ECU. What it does is it cuts the voltage down on the truck when it not needed. So my truck voltage fluxuates from 14.5 to 12.0 volts while driving weither the radio is on or not. This feature is suppose to save on gas burned. Don't ask me how it does that but it does.
  18. My voltage doesn't drop that bad. In fact the lowest it's ever gotten was around 12.2v. The shit hits hard without the boost but when I turn the knob on the boost, shit sounds like its gonna destroy the truck. I just know that I can get it louder with a bigger alt, some more batteries, better box design, and a better amp without noise issues. Hell the gain on the amp is not even set to half way and I'm scared that I'm gonna cook the subs. But with all that said, I think I can definitly get louder with another box design and some sound deadner off the bat. That' gonna be my project for the next month or two.
  19. By the way my amp is what I would like to call FUBARED......So I'm thinking of changing it out to a pair of Kicker KX2500.1s. I'm also running 1 additional yellow top battery and the stock alt for now. So I know I will need a few more batteries....thinking about doing like 4 of those kinetik 600 (space issue with trying to keep all seats in the truck).
  20. So I've finally made a video or two of my LvL 4 18 in the back of the burban. First vid is with the volume up to around 22 out of 32....subwoofer level is at 0 and no boost. The second video is at 22 volume again with 0 subwoofer level and boost right at 8db out of 18db. The songs being played are "Get Ya Rob" for video 1 and "Hood Star" off of the Three 6 Mafia (Last 2 Walk) album. The sun light wasn't agreeing with me when I was filming the second video so I'll have to re-shoot that one later on this week. Let me know what you thing, although I'm 99% sure that I'm going to rebuild the box with both subs and a single port facing up. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
