LOL LSN... and by no means did I ever want to sound like an asshole, but to post a new thread for every single question( which I see alot on here, from different people) gets a lil annoying... And questions are always great, just know the right questions to ask- you learn thru asking the right questions as well.

I personally wouldnt mind buying some 2.5" vc motors... never thought of posting an ad for motors

But the thing is, the shop/I was blamed for it, and had to go thru the whole deal, had to prove it wasnt the shop- which it wasnt

no offense, but I see people always asking other people Everything, like whats better, this, or that, will this work, or will that? Best way to find anything out, is to observe, and try yourself. Practice makes perfect. Basically, your like climbing a ladder, and missing some rungs.... What ya gotta do is start from the bottom rung, and hit every rung on the way, then you will be answering questions like these for other people in the future. I forget what most people tell/teach me, but I remember every thing I have ever learned hands on, or taught myself. Do some reading on www.bcae1.com start on page 1, read every page, till you get to the end, and take notes. And thats a damn good start

To get on that team is hard man, and it doesnt take PS2s, and fiberglassed doors, but like King said, experience, and know how.. My buddy is on Team Maxsonics, and he was running a wall with 4-15s, and nothing pretty, just strong, and loud, and very competitive. Attend all the shows, and alot of traveling

Thanks P1ggy, and yeah, that is the same box as the one you heard, but Iam making it show quality, painted, plexi window and lookin all perty... I will end up selling the box to the highest bidder after the show.

back in like 99'-00' I did a very simple deck install in a Toyota something. it was Iso din mounting, but very simple. Just the basic 2 plug harness, installed it, and she was gone, easy, no problems, and car was clean, and relatively new. 2 weeks later, I hear her dash caught on fire, and the people at the auto shop who have worked on the car pretty often, because it was a salvaged car ( not that I knew it was) Said whoever installed the deck pluged the stereo plugs in to the ac unit....... Okayyyy I assume it was just cause it was salvaged, and the mechanics putting everything back together in the car kinked some wires, or somethin was never replaced, when it should have been..... The fire started when she went to turn her AC on..... and poof....... wasnt me :w00t:

I know some of you will be lost on the design, and well, thats perfectly fine with me :gun: but here is an idea of how the box looks, and a few pics of the subwoofers used

Iam sure those specs are rated at 4ohms, not what people usually run them at, like 1ohm, or whatever they run there subs at with them amps

Well, here goes my rush attempt to bring somethin to Autorama db event in Feb. I have built the box already, tested it, and I was surely amazed at the output with such low power, and the woofer cones barely even flinching, yet before my eyes, my headliner was snowing on me, and my neighbors were comming out to see who was the guy making all the noise, up to 4houses down ( my windows were rolled up, doors closed) Across the street my buddy said his picture frames, and windows were vibrating. So, for 250 watts, I guess it was pretty loud. But this time, Iam not useing 2 SS Exact 12"s, or some 10"s I got straight to the point with a pair of 15"s. Since my digi cam only worked long enough to take pictures of my last build, Iam stuck with my sloppy webcam, and its horrible resolution and brightness. But the best parts is, Iam not done yet, I have 3 weeks or so to finish this box!! And the box will be a treat to the eyes and ears. Iam hopeing for some 1" plexi in it so I can show how the box works, but may not have that option, since price is an issue. So, lets get to the point... 2- 15"s 1000rms each, 3" voice coil, dual spider, dvc 3ohm 40lb motor, good 2-2.5" xmax- custom built 36" wide 22 tall 26 deep to play with. I wanted Quarter wave only, since Iam bored with Ported, and long gone from sealed. I came up with about 100" long of a line which equals about 34hz wich is awesome, cuz thats the woofers Fs. 125 starting point to 155 ending port area (slightly tapered to a larger opening) But realizing that box would only be good enuff for 1- 15", not 2, I did some calculations, and built a test box for 2- 15s Lets called this style box a, umm Iso baric loaded, BANDPASS tline I came up with a 3cf sealed chamber in front of the tline, 1 sub loaded in the tline, 1 sub outside the box... Cone, to magnet- In Phase, so when the subwoofer on the outside strokes inward, its pressing on the 15"in the line.... Why would this be good? Well, it concentrates alot harder @tunning, 34hz, with no bass boost eq, anything, and @ 34hz, the box just goes insane!! A large gain over testing the box in standard bandpass tline, or standard tline, but now I lack the high bass, and low sub bass.... But you know what? 34hz, with about 10hz of bandwidth sounds damn good at 250 watts!!!! (guessing about 29-39ish hz) But in car transfer function helps alot, seriously. So, Iam not done yet, I only have sloppy webcam pics of the paint job, and the idea... I need to throw the front baffle on where the top woofer will mount to, and a top, also the top will be spaced up a few inches to alloy for another .75cf of airspace, so the subs play even a tad lower.... I first primered, and bondo'd the screw holes, and fuk ups, painted it with rhino liner, them painted it grey, then clear coat for added gloss more to come later

heh, yeah I use them cardboard cement tubes from time to time. subwoofer ottomans, and stand up down firing home theater woofers. Resin them, wrap glass around them, resin them again, then wraped 1 more tube on the outside to clean it up, so I didnt get stuck sanding for days since in 1 size, they usually have like small med, large, it works out fine

I came in to late on the HK amps..... I have a OLDDDD HK, last year they were made in the USA. back in 97/98' Harman Kardon AVR-%, which is the older brother to the 100 series, like Meade has.... one thing is, no Dolby Digital, only analog 5.1 ins, and analog 5.1 outs... Iam keeping it for ebay one day ;-)

I havent seen Crank yet, but cant wait for it to come in. Bill, there is a plumbing shop in Rancho C. that DOES sell 14" schedule 40 pvc... I cant think of the name, but it is On Folsom, off of Sunrise, going towards Folsom, a few blocks down on the left. Been there before, they sell up to 22" I believe but 14" was asize they had

Routers, router tables, plunge routers, router bits, just about all of them, router guides, and templates, and 1 tool i swear I will personally own one day..... Wood CNC routing machine Yeahhhhhhh!! BTW, Iam fully experienced on those, and thats what major companies that have money use, just program cuts, and they are never wrong!!! save programs on disc, or floppy, and they are windows based- no need for any other tools besides drill, nailer, and umm... just install tools

Just do 2- tower sub woofers- 3 each tower. And tune low. If your living room is large, tune it lower- depending on the subs of course. 20x20ft room, try 20-25hz, 15x15ft try 25-30hz, 10x10 - 30-40hz.... best way is to just measure the fursthest point in your room, from the main listening point (if going for theater- Sound quality) And use the 1/4 wave math there And what size should your port be? depends on your subs, and same for tuning
