  1. okay well he's ignorant as hell...i been tellin him basically what you guys are saying...that he needs more/a better battery cuz the stock one cant keep up with what everything is pullin. he just read this thread and is like..oh i guess your right. we'll see if that solves it which it most likely will....ill let you guys know thanks. keep postin though if you have somethin else to add.
  2. this is the reason he gave me the truck man...im not abusin it im trying to see what the problem is. he said its never done it before so he gave it to me to check out and im postin up everywhere to see if someone has an anser. electrical is completely stock....there were some funny smells for a little bit last week when another friend re-wired the subs, and btw i have no clue how they are wired. but other than that nothing
  3. no second battery...im tellin him he needs to get one but he keeps sayin he doesnt need one.

  5. my friend let me borrow is 08 avalanche for a couple days and i was of course blastin the music....i had the volume on the head unit all the way up bass all the way down and the volume on the ipod all the way up wit the EQ set to treble booster. i played put on and on the high note the lights dim to the point that they are almost off and last night all fo the electronics acutally reset while i was driving the truck when i was bangin. the guages all shut off radio went off lights went off...everything went off for about 2 seconds then came back on and it was playing fine again...but still dimming. also the subs sometimes just cut out and stop playing all together when i turn it up all the way but when i turn it back down they play again. 2 12" L7's powerd by an alpine pdx1000 btw. that may not make perfect sense...im kind of typin in a rush im at shcool. need any clarity just ask and ill explain more... thanks

  8. not the 08 but my older brother has an 06....as for suggestions to the supercharger i dont have any. and as far as the exhaust, i have never seen a true dual setup for that truck other than goin custom.
  9. if you goin for daily yeah the btl's....with clean power goin to them i dont see why they wouldnt handle the power.

  12. depends on the install(box, location, car type) and electrical... and i woulnt say re subs are mediocre either...
  13. yeah i agree with kkiiaann33....definatly sounds like a voice coil. what your installer said to you doesnt make much sense to me personally. i would think that if the amp fried the sub would just stop playin not start rattling and smokin....

  17. 4 10" cvx's and upgrade electrical. you can use the same box.
  18. thats not what i said. re-read what i posted. i was saying that i dont think one 15" l7 would be louder than the cvr's.
  19. if you are doin that because you think the l7 will be louder than the 4 cvr's, i dont really see that being the case. maybe you should get 4 cvx 10's? i see more potential in that than one 15 l7. only thing would be powering them...but that shouldnt be too hard. but if you are stuck on the 15 l7 then go for it....nobody can stop you from doin what you want to.
  20. that trailblazer ss is a beast too. my cousin has one of them. no complaints about that one. both ford and chevy build nice cars and trucks....and both companies have their problems. get what you want and can afford like banginAltima said.

  22. there is nothing wrong with the 4.6 or the 5.4 i have driven vehicles with both motors. my 4.6 in my thunderbird and mustang never give me any problems and the power is there when you need it. and my dad has a 94 thunderbird with a 5.4 swap and its the same story. both are great motors. but i do i agree ford should have NEVER gotten rid of the 302 or 289.
