  1. But why make an extra thread when there is a thread already asking about rules and regulations, if everyone did that then there would be hundreds of threads asking about stuff that isnt in the fine print of the rules.
  2. Umm who is sniper? And I just made this topic, cause I thought that it would be incredible to see a build of that magnitude, Now even though basically everyone including me cant just go out and be able to finance a build like this, doesnt mean that we cant have some good discussion about a system being that size, such as what kind of numbers you think it would be able to put out, would it be able to kill you, or even how awesome it would feel to be standing in a hall with 32 18" BTL's surrounding you.
  3. I wish I could... But I dont exactly have the estimated like 500-700K to be able to do the build, if I did win the lottery though, I not only would build this, but anyone on this site that wanted to help, I would fly there ass out here to help, or witness the awesomeness.
  4. 32 40001bd= about 40 thousand with tax So I would need about 8 t15k's,and lets say each amp is 18 thousand so that would = 144 thousand without tax But fuck it I would have won the lottery, but I do hear that they are also pretty hard to get ahold of, and I am sure the 8 t15k's would be a hell of alot more efficient than powering 32 40001bd's
  5. Ya LOL I was looking at a couple 1600 amp welding generators.
  6. Check out these beasts in action LOL name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">Plus a comparison of the Funky Pup vs. the JL 13 W7 name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
  7. I wonder if the engine would be able to move that amount off mass, or if the suspension would handle it, plus recharging that amount of batterys would be extremely hard, It would be awesome though walls of subs on the left and right side, leaving a hall that you could walk through in the middle, talk about craziness.
  8. Was that me talking about putting 12 15's in a van, and how they are banned from DB Drag for being so good, if so it was a joke, they are like the movie Borat, it is so bad that it is good. But you used to be able to get 6 for 90 dollars.
  9. I decided if I were to ever win the lottery I would buy a winibago, and make the ultimate SPL vehicle. It would consist of, 1 Winibago 32 18" BTL's 32 RF Power T40001bd's A wall on both sides of the vehicle(16 subs in each wall, A shit ton of batterys, and like thousands of feet of 0 guage. And in the end it will be :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: :hairtrick: Edit: I wonder if Winibago's are allowed in DB Drag
  10. I really do like the Fi BL's But I have to go with the DC's for the level of customization, plus I hear that the customer service is excellent.
  11. They both go up and down very easily(even with my amp mounted to the back of the seat), and should still both go up and down once I get my 6.5 Cubic foot box put in there as well. Oh and I am running 2 12's so it is perfect. Thanks for the quick reply.
  12. Might as well ask here, I just got through reading all the rules for DB Drag, and from the looks of it I would be in the Street Stock Class, I am running about 1800 rms. My question is my back seats fold down, would this be allowable in the comp, I believe I gain as least 1 db, by folding the seats down.
  13. Off topic but Trix, I actually watched your whole avatar video, It just kept me intrested.
  14. I have only run kicker for the last few years, First did you buy the amp new from an authorized dealer if so at my local shop they will send the amp to stillwater and they will just ship you a brand new one with all the accesories you got when you bought it new(meaning you now have two sets) and all it cost me as 15 dollars for shipping and took about 2 weeks. Which was good cause 15 dollars is much better than the 600 or so retail, for the zx.1500.
  15. These subs are the f*cking hardest thing to find, I remember a few years back you could go to a site and order them, you could get a box of 6 for like 90 bucks, I wish I could find them to actually do this, anybody got anyclue where to find them? Oh and about the banned part it is a joke, Google Funky Pup subs and it will be in the alot of links, saying how funky pups are so good they were banned from DB Drag.
  16. So I was thinking of getting a van and walling it, and guess what the epic part is,it would have 12 15" funky pups in it, I think the hardest part will be to find the subs, and its ok that I cant compete in Db drag since they are banned LOL,Plus I dont know if I would ever be able to power those beasts. So what do you guys think?
  17. If the subs are in the same vehicle, even though they are in seperate enclosures it wont sound very good.
  18. Just go and buy 2 of the zx.2500's and call it a day
  19. This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I wouldnt add any extra batterys, that alternator is probably already getting worked pretty hard keeping your battery upfront charged, do the big three a and get a good battery upfront and you should be good with the amount of power your running.
  20. I got 5, Steering&Suspension, Engine Rebuild, Brakes,Electrical,Heating and AC, Right now I am working on getting the Engine Performance,Auto Transmission, and Manual Transmission.
  21. I feel you man I just finished my Automotive training, about a year ago, right now I am finishing getting the rest of my ASE certifications, so I can be ASE master certified.
  22. I wouldnt do it, on the new cars there is an o2 sensor before and after the catalytic converters, and the computer moniters the difference between the pre o2 sensor and the post o2 sensor and by removing or gutting the converter the computer is gonna get confused and start messing with your air/fuel ratio(it is gonna think that you are running rich and is gonna lean the mixture, which is less fuel per air, which can then cause you car to miss, and you engine to run hot, now it might or might not be enough for you to notice, but down the line it can give you problems. Besides the way the EPA gets there way nowadays I wouldnt be surprised if inspections become required nation wide within the next 2-3 years. Edit: Basically the o2 sensor tells the computer if your car is rich or lean, if it is rich meaning too much fuel per air, the computer sends less fuel to the engine, if it is lean more air per fuel, the sensor will detect the extra air left and feed more fuel to the engine. So for a gas engine the desired mixture is 14.7 parts of air to 1 part of fuel, this is the ideal combustion mixture, and the o2 sensor makes sure this mixture stays correct.
  23. This, maybe get an amp that does about 5-6kw like this http://www.woofersetc.com/p3174/XXX6500D--...t-Amplifier.htm
  24. First I wouldnt recommend running either at 1 ohm(unless you like magic smoke), second I wouldnt suggest mixing sub sizes as it usually turns out sounding like crap.
