i know the law, just the way i understood it is that the amp will try to draw close to the same amount of current just with the ohm changing which causes less power. Since my peak is 35hz and i rise to 9 ohms at that frequency my amp should be hella efficent right? hmm well it puts out 546.7 watts at 12.9 volts.. now why would i drop that much if i had less current draw? If im wrong oops

true, i will replace the front battery since its stock and 4 years old. However, as soon as i see 10.X or my amp goes into protect, it shoots right back into the upper 13's without hesitation. Will this alternator work? haha box rise effects the ohms not the current the amp will still try to put out the max power it can at that ohm load that its seeing from where the gain is set

first the stock battery has to go. Those batteries do NOT like to be drained that lower and come back up generally they dont come back get an AGM battery up front(the bigger the better). Then check ALL of your grounds, make sure they have good contact and aren't loose at all. You should never drop that low. if you see 11 volts turn it down

first using the 8 guage was a bad idea. its good that you upgraded the power and ground wire. also 2/4 channel amps get hot. I'd check the gain setting and make sure not yo use bass boost if it has it and add a fan on the outside so the ambient air isn't "static". If its in the sun move it out of the sun

Yea you need thick primer because MDF just sucks that shit up which is why i use resin for the glossy finish

yea do it right with recones but not just your amp setting but the "slap" of the tinsel leads seems to be a big issue with dc subs which could of also been a factor

I would do a common chamber but if you ever plan on running only one sub each having their own chamber would be good but just have a common chamber is easier. if your doing SSD 18's i'd have a box thats about 12-13 cubes after port and displacement tuned to about 33hz with about 190-210 sq inches of port area

yup so my suggestion would be either get 2 18" SSD's on a true 2k+ amp or 2 18" HDC3's both are great sub but the HDC3's will want more power so the SSD is most likely your best choice for a budget also you'll want to upgrade your eletrical

my suggestion would be get 2 18's or 15's in a great box and good clean power... If you get three you'll get a weird ohm load and will rob you of power

no you dont.. not properly atleast for 4 18's you need anywhere from 24-32 cubes after all displacement depending on your power. plus your budget wont allow for 4 18's unless they are cheap

ha not to great on for the power but I would suggest either a AQ HDC3 or 2 Fi SSD's if you can swing it for 2 18's you'll pound the lows or if you really want the lows get the Q's tuned to 28hz

my buddy has 2 18's in a blazer that does a 148.8 that does ht tunning affects it ALOT

I highly doubt you'll pull a legit hairtrick you'll need atleast 12's tuned to about 33hz to get your peak down and alot of power with a trunk car. but wall it off and it becomes ALOT easier

x2 and what subs are you planning on running man? if you want a 150 with 4 12's it'll be fun and you have to build a good box

im a 146.1 @ 35hz and i can pull a good HT. You have to be able to play lower frequencies for sure so i'd start there you need to be able to play 30-32hz without worrying to much then get your db's up lol
