I wouldnt mind hearing your personal experience for sure and what kind of power are you running to your daytons? I was thinking a smaller 2 channel for mine if i do get them Yea thats what im looking for right now I love my eminence but i will be getting the Crescendo anyways. I know these PA mids are able to play up into high frequencies. But im not trying to make them play that high. I would like to spread the frequencies out between drivers. making each one more efficent.

Right now I have a pair of Eminence Alpha 8's, but I might switch them out for the new Crescendo 8's being as I along with Team Hard Knox is sponsored by Crescendo. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=290-401 This is the link to the Eminence 8's http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/crescendo/111530-mp-series-speakers-xst2-tweeters.html Link the for Crescendo specs. Along with two tweeter choices. First is a Vifa: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-1028 Second is a Dayton: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=275-040 I was considering adding a midrange to help reinforce the vocals and help smooth everything out. Etiher this Dayton:http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-378 Or this Dayton: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=285-020 I will obviously be spending plenty of time playing with my crossover points and placement. I will most likely be running 2 8's so ill add to the tweeters as i feel is needed. I dont like my tweeters to be there to much but just enough. Any input would be great! Thanks, Oldsboomer

TThanks man, that's help for your use too and yea I saw it for the home theater section and just wanna figure out everything it does
-
I was just in Best Buy and was in the section with the good brands and what is the purpose and benefits of a power managment? Is it to filter the power coming in from the wall? Im wanting to build my own so im starting to look into it alot

Personal experience with the 18" Q and love it. It'll get damn low. Also how low it gets depends alot on the box. 2 15" does have more cone area though

4th order for home theater
OldsBoomer replied to SPLadd1ct's topic in Pro Audio / Home Audio / Home Theatre
IIt should work decently -
Lol nice ray
-
The headunit does work great and nope this is a box that models like a series 6th order. The box I just put in is a 4th order for only 2 12's first because I wanna know I like it before I pull the trigger and go full scale. And as far as mine tunning im not sure its probably around 30-32 I actually made the original port bigger then I wanted. So its tuned higher then I planned

Ray can you please help me determine my f3 point

Decaf care to continue to explain more -
Hmmm ill look into that too
-
Hmmm ok ill wait for you to get not busy so I can learn and I was thinking that having the port that close to the subs is affecting loading which is why I was going to put it full outside the box
-
Im just looking for low 20's to about 55 and im good after that.. looks like I need to pull the top off and remove all the polyfill lol darn. I might move my port out too and it'll raise my tunning but if the polyfill is actually doing the opposite of what I thought it would changing the tunning wont do much affect my port area and possibly make it more effiecnt and my subs need more power for the mid 30 range...darn
-
Ok thank you sir! Very much appreciated

Even with the polyfill? What about port area? Think I gave it enough? Also can you explain how to find the F3? You can message me if you'd like
