Dude, its alright. My first system was a kicker comp 12 and a Sony Xplod 1200, we all start somewhere. I've been using my type r's for sometime in my daily driver, I like them. I would try for the amp in my sig to run your two Type R's. Are they 1242D's? If so the Hifonics 1610D is stable at a 1Ohm load, and you can wire the 1242D's down to a 1Ohm load. It's $219.99 at Sonicelectronix.com It's where I bought mine not too long ago. I was previously running 2 of them on a older Hifonics 1208D and it worked great.. How would a Hifonics bxi2601 do? It's "rated" at like 22-2600 RMS @ 1Ohm Stable. But I'm sure that number is true. I was looking at the DC 1000.1 and 2000.1. Any other suggestions?

Dude I was just asking for an opinion, I think the "Subwoofer" thread description does say: "Discuss Subwoofers and Enclosure ideas here" It was an idea I had and I need an opinion. Anyways, I'm in the middle of a rebuild. 1999 Ford Expedition XLT Box will be built low, depending on which sub to spec. Big 3 XS Power S680 1/0 Knu Amp choices: Hifonics BXi2010D -open to other ideas about an amp, Maybe a 2000.1 DC.

DC lvl4 18" or Fi BL 18" I'm having some trouble choosing between the two. I have narrowed it down to this though. Thanks for any input! Cody
