thanks man. is it something that i could deal with. i'm wanting these for a really loud daily. i can deal with "just ok" sound quality but if it sounds like some solobarics or something then i'll just throw out the extra cash for some blackmarket audio's (just because everyone thinks they are FI rip offs) i also just want to try them out, been through ALOT of woofers for the sole reason of just trying them.

gucci_bass are the surround and cone stitched together on the 15" i know it is on the 12 and 10.

don't get me wrong. i'm not trying to be a dick. i know AQ is good with the amps. i have tested that theory out with all 4 of their amps. 1200 1600 2200 and i helped a guy tune his system with a 3500. so i know how their amps are but i don't want to buy these if they are just made to get loud and sound like a generic sub doing it.

i guess. i'm thinking about buying some and the only good response i have gotten is from james. because i have heard 3500's but never had to build systems with them and play with box tuning to see how they do.

i don't want to just "buy one and love it" because i am very picky about my subs and their ability to reproduce tones very well

listen: i fn realize they get loud. but if you want to compare them to L7's for sound quality then stop. i'm looking for someone that has heard or has these but has also heard or preferably had some loud sound quality subs. example: any FI, any RE, any AA, any ADIRE, any Kove, any DC, any eclipse, and TC's, or others because i have had these and i'm looking for a woofer to woofer comparison not a "it sounds good, gets loud" of thing. thanks

what would you compare it to sound quality wise?

use this for area: length x height x width = ( ) divided by 1728 use it with small areas and then add all of the small areas together to get your total area.

or you could use math. lets say your well is an 18 inch circle that is 8 inches deep. so radius of 18 is 9. 9x9=81 x 3.14(pie) = 254 times how deep it is (8 inches) = 2034 divided by 1728 (12x12x12) = 1.1775 cu ft. simple fellas.

i am looking for a good review on a 15" AQ HDC3 from some people that have used them and can compare them to some quality speakers such a Q's, BL's, Level 4's, SX's and so on. if you've only had a couple kenwood typhoons or some xplods then of course these are better than what you've had. i've run everything from sx, q, ssd, bl, se's, brahmas, idmax, ti's, avalanches, and more so i'm looking for someone that has heard some of these or has these that can compare them with some of these subs and give a good review of them. i'm impressed with AQ's amps and i'm thinking bout trying the subs out so help me out. thanks

i met "fritosaregood" today at harbor freight. heard his two audiopulse 15's on a sundown 3000. shit sounds good. my sx has about the same ouput as his audiopulse's but his sound great. mine is just a loud daily so its not the greatest sounding.

heard that. all the guys i know always find crazy good deals on stuff like that. idk why i can't. junk yards here are a rip off on quality shit, have gotten lucky on ebay before but the shipping basically makes up for any kind of good deal you got. i'm on craigslist constantly, just looking to see whats there.

this trunk is pretty dirty right now from drilling holes through the false floor. so don't mind that.

here is the setup. its my daily setup so its nothing crazy. reconing. box. install. alpine 9886. audioque 1200D. optima with 0 gauge big 3. if you are wondering why my DC is all black it is because i took some aircraft adhesive remover and took off the chrome on the logo. it got a lil scratched from wiring up so i took it off.

with outside dimension it is roughly 7.5 with the 24. internal dimension, port area and area of subs will put you a lil under 7. maybe 6.5

2 10's don't have that much more cone area. i was thinking two 12's or one 15. but since you don't have enough room for that then do a btl and step up the power. or a level 4 xl

with those dimensions you'll have a lil less than 7 cu ft. that will be good. 3.5 per sub.

oh. sorry i was thinking of the guy with the 12" btl in the white accord. level 4 xl would be nice.

do your seats fold down? have you already built a box or do you want some advice on something your building? how much room would that 27 leave between the trunk and the box?
