Thank you for the reply Sheena. But upon my own research, I found a whole bunch of good reasons "NOT" to try to reclaim the lead from a car battery... 1) It's not even close to pure lead. It's an alloy, which does not melt or pour like pure lead. 2) It can develop acid pockets in the lead alloy plates, which when melted, can explode. 3) The stuff you would be trying to get off of the plates, is highly toxic, especially the residue, when melted / burned. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So, I have a buddy in a tire shop. But I'm wondering how somebody could recover the lead from a car battery ? It's pretty easy to find an old, shot out car battery.... but how can you safely drain the liquid, and get the plates out ? Lead is just so freaking expensive to buy, mostly because of shipping costs. I just need a bunch of ground up lead, for my weighted vest (about 20 more lbs, it's only 40 lbs right now) and if I have any left, I can save it to bump the weight up some more, later. Hmmmm.... I hear you guys. And not to try to say that these actions make it all okay > However, my work has donated large amounts of food to the county 'feed the homeless project', and I have brought more perfectly good clothes to them in the last couple years than you would imagine (remember, I lost a ton of weight, and needed all new clothes like 3 or 4 X's) As for the guy possibly being truly hungry..... I talked later withour security person, who told me that she saw the same guy later, at the other end of our complex "wasted drunk" (apparently more thirsty, than hungry) bugging shoppers for money, and she also kicked him out of the shopping center. So yesterday as I arrived at work, I have this homeless guy approach me, looking for handouts. This guy has been a problem around my work for the last year or so, and has had the cops over there, kicking him out several X's. Just to paint you a picture, he's not a big guy... I probably have 30 lbs on him, but he looks potentially "street tough" and maybe 40 years old. Anyway, I just gave him the hand motion which says, "No. Just get the ef out of here".... and I went on into my work. So about 15 minutes later, I'm laughing and joking with my female co-worker, facing away from our store front, when suddenly, this same homeless guy comes to our front door, and starts trying to hustle us for free food / money...... And I just freaking snapped ! I threw my tools down, and charged at him standing in the doorway. He backs up onto the front walkway, where I just freaking unleashed on him. I started with "MF ! Don't you understand English ?! I told you to get the EF out of here......" So he started to say something, and I jumped forward, cutting him off with, "MF STFU ! I told you to leave this shopping center NOW" ! He stood there quiet for a second, then started to say something else, at which point I squared off to him, and loaded the right hook...... and I told him once more, "MF you are this close......" Finally, the guy gets the message, and decides it would probably be best to leave, and starts walking off, but looking back frequently, to make sure I wasn't following him. I could still feel the veins in my neck pulsating. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So anyway, here's the thing; I really am one of the nicest guys a person would be likely to meet. I am not a fighter, or a badass (contrary to my appearence) and I HATE to be a raging dick head, like I obviously was. But at what point does a guy just have to put his foot down ? It also kind of bothers me to know that this guys life probably sucks way more than most of us could even imagine.... and here I am, making it even worse ! But then the other side of me feels like I did what I had to do, and hopefully the guy will leave me, and our patrons alone for a while. Hmmmm. I just hate to be forced into this kind of stuff. Update; I got to listen to this track (the original HD one) in truck tonight, and Holy $#!+ ! What a bad-a$$ recording Talk about freaking LOUD, smooth, defined, and CLEAR ! I swear I can play this track 2 or 3 notches lower than I do most any of my "other best recordings".... Then, since I'm not even close to clipping, I can bump up, "any, or all" of my deck settings, and dammit Jim ! This absolutely HAS to go in my demo folder, as is, no tweaking necessary. Peace, Fish

Right on. I hate to keep bugging everyone for music editing. I'd way prefer to edit my own stuff, I just have not found a program which is cheap, easy, and totally effective, for my purposes ? Hmmmm. Peace, Fish

But it's totally worthy ! I know the video post got a lot of positive responses. I freaking love the song, but it needs somewhat of a bass boost (except for the deeper bass during the break down) and the other thing it really needs, is to have the vocals selectively reduced by like half ! Don't get me wrong, the dude is bad a$$, and perfect for the tone of this song..... but just bust your eardrums loud vocals. Anybody want to do like a SQ + a little extra bass version of this ? Oh and BTW, Audacity sucks Even if I had to pay (a little) for it, what are some straight up studio mixing kind of programs ? (for dummies). What I need to be able to do, is; 1) isolate vocals, or certain instruments, and tweak only those. 2) have a graphic visual of the sound frequencies, along with a 1/3 octave (31 band) EQ. 3) be able to grab just the bass signal, change the frequency at which the bass hits, and of course increase (or in rare cases, decrease) the bass signal. Then save as an MP3. Bam ! Thank you, Fish

Right on Yea, I think my box does pretty well. More power would be nice And to be honest, I did learn (first from Ray) that 1 larger, single port is usually a little louder...... but probably not more than 1 or 2 db's. Anyway, just got back from my first truck / stereo ride in a week, and this track, + a bunch of others were SLAPPING ! Partly because my ears had had a 1 week break, but also, because it was pretty darn cold out tonight, and my electrical system cranked out about 14.5 volts the whole time ! Holy crap ! I used to listen to Everlast a bunch..... a LONG time ago. But damn ! This is a really good song ! His voice (at least in this song) has really gotten a bunch gruffer.... but for his bluesy style, I think it probably helps !
