re-enforcing the box could use some input

Yea, thats a tuff one. Only thing you could really do would be to counter sink the nut/washer on the outside so it doesn't stick out. With the dowel rods, I just have a wood screw from the outside so it doesn't stick out. The inside is woodglued to the inside of the box before I run the screw in. Then I glassed it after the glue dried. -

Its like a long bolt without the head on it. Its "all thread". Any hardware store, Lowes, Home Depot, they all have it. I used oak dowel rods, screwed, glued and glassed in. -

Who knows, maybe it was my browser, it works now. Before it was using "ttp://www.stevemead...olds-build-ubl/ " as the link. Silly google chrome. No worries. Just went through your build, looks LOUD!! Also, love those door panels, they came out sweet! -

Chances are its either not being run at 1ohm or its being run at a higher voltage, so why would they buy him new subs? When you buy equipment and know you are going to be pushing the limits, you should be prepared for the consequences. Same as if he ran the amp at 1/4 ohm and blew the power supply, they would not cover that repair even if it was within the warranty period. -

Ahh, that brings up memories. I used to love wanging on that with my 4 15's in my 1980 Cutlass. We're Tigra and Bunny and we like the boom. -
If the bearings on the tensioner are going bad, it can squeal, but you need to determine if that is what it is, we can't tell that from a forum. Look at your belt, where it has the longest distance between pulleys. Push down on it. How far can you push it?
-
What he said... Since it is harder to spin, you are getting belt slip. Tighten your belt, or if its worn, get a new one. Also, are the pulley's the same diameter? If the pulley on the 130amp alt is smaller, you may need to get a smaller belt.

You linked to pictures on your hard drive, thats not going to work. You need to upload them to a file hosting site such as photobucket and then link them there. -

Yea, but the "lol" after saying Gary Coleman died is a little bit in bad taste. -

hahaha, i knew right away, just a little late to the game. I have a T42, T60 and T61 heheheeh. -
Since you know that you are not clipping at the HU, you need to go to the next item inline (eq,crossover, etc...) and check the signal with the oscope. If you get all the way to your amps with no clipping, then you adjust the gains in your amp until the output clips, then back it down till its unclipped again. Steve has a video tutorial in the videos section where he shows checking the HU, then the amp.
