I would sell my truck right before i leave, or try to. I would just try and sell everything else instead of letting it sit here. I come back about 2-3 weeks before classes in college start, so i won't have much time to get all my stuff in order, let alone try and sell a grand of audio equipment

For those of you who don't know, i'm in the Army Reserve. I'll be gone this entire summer, so my truck will be useless to me and i'll be paying insurance for it to just sit here. So I think i'm gonna sell everything that I have car audio wise, with the exception of my Fusion 4000D, I'd like to buy another one of those. So I think I'm gonna sell everything else that I have, including my truck and try and go crazy when I get back from my AIT, something like 4 15's and 8kwatts rms. I'd like to pick up an s10 extreme or some little sports truck, but i dunno. REASON BEING: I play tennis, its gonna get me to college, my parents have always helped me with insurance and cell bill during tennis season because i'm busy from 6 am until 7-8 pm everyday. So they decide since i'm "now an adult" so they don't want to help me this year. WTF is up with that? :censored: Suggestions? I've changed my mind on this like 5 times.

What do you guys use for bracing? All Thread? 2 x 4's? 90 degree metal things? So many choices. I would go with all thread, but they look ugly on the outside of the box :censored:

If you've got that much money and you don't know what to spend it on, i recommend you do something a LOT smaller. 15 grand can get one one HELL of a system. It's not just something you throw together. Unless you have a good knowledge of audio already, i wouldn't do it.

i could be stationed in germany if i wanted to be. that makes it even more tempting

68W- Combat Medic Sound deadener comes in on monday So that will be a long day for me lol, 100 sq feet of it, so i'm gonna try and double layer everything. that I can. I joined a ranger dedicated forum. Apparently painting the plastics the right way is not cheap at all. And they all said vinyl is NOT the way to go on a custom install. I will be changing it from a 60/40 to two bucket seats. Then I'll get it re-upholstered(sp?) and do something else with it.

I love black and green lol. Its just got a sense or...evil to it? I dunno. I guess i do want something a bit more comfortable, but new seats are a ways off, and i won't be able to recline much with a huge box right behind me lo. I think i would like to go with a black base coat and then....green racing striped DUN DUN DUN!!! I've always like the black / green color combo. I'd love to see this truck dropped on black 20's with that paint and a loud ass stereo.

Well i'll have my truck gutted for about he next month, so while i have all the plastics out, door panels, a pillars, carpeting, i want to change things up a little bit. Make it more,"Custom" you could say. My truck is a dark red in color, but hopefully sometime this summer it will go all black So I want to paint all the interior black, and possibly change the carpet to a really dark gray? I'm not sure. Suggestions on lighting, paint, anything thing else interior wise would be really helpful The truck is 1997 ranger fyi
