Maybe I over stepped things by saying a "friend" I mean I know him but not like that. I have already done some work on his car for him and he is pretty cool. But when it comes to car audio, I have found that even for friends, the second you start working for free or dirt cheap...they will be at your door using up all your time every chance they can. I would think its alot more work since you gotta take everything out and clean it real good. Then all the bumps and shit in the metal, the underside of the rear deck. I figured I would ask first cause my first thought was like $75, lol. I aint even trying to do it for $15, I think I will tell him $40 and see what he says. Would be cool to see this guy get his 15%, especially since he did just make a post about the price jumping two days ago.

Its not really to much to ask for a little heads up. At my job we get letters from most all our manufacturers when products are going to increase. Sometimes as much as a month in advance. For example, the one product that we sell that has an increase almost every 4-6 months is shingles. When they tell us that shingles are going up we make sure our customers know. We send a letter with there monthly statement, I put the same letter on the front door of the store and in the bathrooms. So its really not a stupid request. I like Second skin but isn't it funny how some say the prices just went up and now its on sale? Lot of places do this, raise the price a week before they list a big sale.

That sucks..funny thing is my moms car was done just like that before. All they took was half a pack of Kools and some damn Winterfresh gum, lol. you know it was just some damn kids.

how many different speakers have you had in that box? have you tried making new holes? Yeah if your holes are wore out, which is what using coarse thread screws will do then rotate the subs and start new holes. If you use a wood screw or even a drywall screw, PRE DRILL it will make things easier in the end.

T nuts are probably the best. Few problems I have ran into with them though. Make sure you glue them bitches when you install them. Nothing like going to tighten like the second to last bolt and the damn t nut falls into the box. Then you have to take them all out and start over. Another issue I have had, Even when you screw them, In MDF it is easy to over tighten them and just plain tear the MDF. Also you better make damn well sure that speaker doesn't move when you are drilling all the holes, just one more thing to fuck your day up when you tighten like half the bolts just to find out some of your holes are not lining up right. Just a few things I have encountered. Also if you dont cut the hole perfect, like if you cut the sub hole a tad to big, the t nuts can stick out into the cutout and really provide next to nothing for strength. But if you have none of these problems they should work great! LOL. Another option is go to your local hardware store and get you a box of #12 or 14 hex head screws, make sure you pre drill you holes.

For the crimes that are being committed these guys do not seem like tough guys at all. I mean robbing cars in the dark, you have yourself a few cowards. If you are not worried about the consequences that may occur. Take you about 3 friends and go find these guys...dont talk shit, dont even let them know its coming...just handle your business. Then when its all said and done, let them know they are no longer welcome around your area/street. If the police will not do anything, I know its a bitch to prove shit and breaking into a car aint high on the cops list of things to worry about, you dont have many options: 1. Keep being the victim and deal with it 2. Move to another area where it could be better...but it could get worse 3. Let these guys know that you aint playing that shit.
