  1. Hey guys just my luck! I was on my way home from work tonight and a guy in an old school bronco ran a red light and t-boned me!!! 14 year old kid with no license texting on his cell phone. My truck is probably totaled because it is so old!!! I'm so pissed right now! </rant> :censored:
  2. Well its kind of pointless now because I was in accident on my way home from work earlier but was that a dc alternator? (the 270sps)
  3. What size alternator can be run without losing power at idle. I may be completely off base but I have heard that the higher the amperage the harder it is to get power out of the alternator at idle.
  4. Any other reliable brands I should know about?
  5. I'm just curious as to what will be the bang for your buck batteries. (kinetik, batcap, powermaster, other?)
  6. Like I said...just curious bout them. I'm still sold on aq amps for the price.
  7. Ok man thanks for the input. I just realized your only about an hour and a half from me. I'm down in Camden,AR. How's the progress on the new setupI'd like to see it. I've never heard the re subs. Those aq amps are solid though. Love my 1200.1
  8. Well like I said if it was reliable then it is still cheap for 1050rms. Kinda like hiffonics.
  9. Yea thats kinda what I was thinking lol. Thats why I said supposedly in my op. I hate when people try to give false info on these boards because it really hinders everyone else's learning. Anyway though was the quantum a sturdy amp?
  10. Well was it a sturdy amp? It doesn't seem like an awful deal to get a 1050rms amp that cheap.
  11. I know! He has to be clipping the s*** outta that amp to get them to even move those btl's but its still kinda crazy to be able to do that with such a little amp.
  12. Anybody?
  13. Just found quantum audio today on another forum. Theres a video here http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos/FiC...dio/btl15.5.wmv of one of the 1500.1's supposedly pushing 3 btl's. Just wanted to know what everyone thought of them. reliable? do rated power?
  14. So your saying as long as power is equal then more cone area is better? (in most cases)
  15. I know that it is installation dependant every time. I'm just trying to gather opinions and do some research. lol
  16. So would you go with 4 audioque hdc3 aluminum 18's over 2 pap moabs? Each setup would have similar power.
  17. They are definitely better than solobarics! I feel you on the trying different subs just dont have the cash to buy some of the brands out there. Thats why I went with the aq's in the first place and definitely for the price you aren't going to find anything new that is even half their quality.
  18. If thats the case then you should look into the Q if you're planning on going with fi. Also look into the *** trash. I had one 15 and it was the cleanest sounding sub "I've" ever heard.
  19. For that price, you could get an audioque hdc3 18 atually even cheaper. I have the 15" version and it kills. http://www.audioque.com/aq/HDCSeries.htm
  20. I dont consider myself to be a complete noob in car audio but I know that have still have a ton to learn compared to some of the guys on here. So, I figured I'd bring this question to people who know more than me lol. Would it be better to have more lower powered subs or fewer high powered subs, considering all is from reputable brands. (ex. 4 18's on 1000 watts a piece vs. 2 18's on 2000 watts a piece.)
  21. Hey man I'm currently running an hdc3 15 in 4 cubes tuned to 35hz. I have ran a *** trash and heard both a fi q and bl single 15 setup. I love my aq bc I just like it loud but if you're wanting decent sq then this probably isn't the sub for you it has a very unique sound to it but in my opinion the sq isn't even as good as the FI BL. just my .02 hope it helped.
  22. Hey tell me what you think of this one
