  1. this is one of the best ones for 36 hz so far
  2. Yes I remember you, it was 2003 it was the same approx time when I was diagnosed with Cancer and decided to shut the doors and deal with that. I have always lurked and help people with enclosures/designs and now that I am back 100% I miss the building aspect of subwoofers. Now that I started building a daily driver for myself it feels good to not see the spl vehicle leave when it was done. Since 1991 I have built hundreds of spl vehicles but none as rewarding as your own. I have found it tough finding a speaker to fit my needs(6500wrms@30hz) but the new sub Scott is making for you looks like it is my best choice atm that is currently available(well almost available). I do have the PSI design but can't afford to make it a reality, maybe someday. Anyway, Steve you just keep doing what your doing with the daily driving bass machines. In this above 50hz burp driven spl world we need all the ground pounders we can show off to keep the industry growing. -props to you man -Donald Hebig
  3. That vehicle is a thing of beauty. Power Supply is some of my favorite mixes. I have all their CD's that Derrick gave me when I met him. I could not find them in stores so that was great. You don't happen to have the Boston Rally Bass CD 1 of 3 (3CD set) do you?
  4. Very nice, Low and loud. The roof I would reinforce it for sure with wood or fibreglass. Fixing rips/holes in the roof is not fun, and you prob will gain a bit too.
  5. When I came up with this format I never intended it to be for beginners, that is what street stock and street class is for. I intended it to be for people who know what they are doing and want to build truly bad ass systems that are talked about long after the show. They generate tremendous hype these type of ground pounders. My frequency point modifier is there because the lower you tune the harder it is to keep the big numbers on the meter and if you can make a system that goes loud and low you should be rewarded for it(hence the point system). And when Iwas testing this format out I realized that alot of the vehicles scored close to the same score right from low tuned daily drivers right up to semi extreme vehicles. Thus allowing for much fewer classes. As far as the no bare wood, I am sure if there was an amature class made the no bare wood could be removed but in the end a finished vehicle looks ALOT better on everyone at the show. Wayne is reviewing this right now to see if it fits somewhere in psyclone format so we will see. Currently I just call it dB Dons All Out SPL Challange as there is no real name for it currently. Thanks for taking the time to comment. -Donald Hebig
  6. If you have not seen the other post in dB Drag here it is again. I need help collecting data on big systems in bass race. If I could get a few of the bigger bass race systems out there with alot of displacement to test something for me. I need you to bass race a song with your drivers door open and closed and submit me the results, maybe a youtube video or a screen shot of the final screen with the score and note displayed. If anyone does not have that song I can get it to you over msn maybe? I would be mighty grateful if anyone can help me out. Bass Cube Volume 3 Song Called "Play With Fire" 1:25 to 1:59
  7. Thanks for watching out, its ok I gave Doug permission to copy/paste the bass portion of the rules I submitted to Wayne for consideration. We will have to wait and see if this is adopted in anyway. But in the mean time you are all welcome to submit results to me by email and video's of runs are even better. I would like to see a video of a vehicle doing over 200 points. Thanks to those who replied and like the format, I worked on this one alot as far as real world testing. This is the real deal when it come to loud and low tuned systems. I know alot on this forum live by the lows as I do so you guys can understand the direction I am coming from. TY -Donald Hebig
