Alright see if it has a mixture ratio on the gas cap or something. Most of the time they are either 25:1, 32:1, or 50:1. The smoke is fine, and unless you buy the smokeless oil you want to see some smoke IMO, you know it is getting lubricated. As far as the tuning goes, their isn't a exact tuning for it. With weather changes, different locations, humidity and such will throw the tuning off. Does it run good now or what?

I am thinking the same thing... Anyways so I went and picked up some 40amp fuses for the amp...before that my battery has kept dieing because of my dome lights staying on...pulled the fuse on that but then noticed that my stinger voltage meter is staying on....Noticed I didn't have the remote wire on the amp but also when I went to put the fuses back in it sparked really bad....didn't even try putting it all the way in, didn't want to hurt the amp.

This truck has wiring issues....plain and simple. The lights thing just started happening this past week.

Yeah I thought of that also because I know when I was taking the box out that they did touch once, caught it instantly but they did touch for a very split second....

Ok so I went ahead and got it all hooked up, arced at first then once it got a good connection it stopped so I hooked it up the way it was before. Turned everything on and nothing coming from the sundown....checked fuses and all 4 of the 40amp fuses were blown. Do you think they were blown from when the cables were arcing? If so I will just replace them...just want to be on the "safe" side

Ok so I unhooked my Saz1500 today so I could hook my stinger voltage meter up. I got the wires ran and went to hook the amp back up and got the cables hooked up until I got the ground hooked up and it arced at me. So I undid the power wire and tried doing it the other way...did it again. So I went to my front battery, unhooked the power cable and hooked the amp up. Went to hook the power cable to battery and it did it again. So I undid the cable again and unhooked the ground from the battery and then hooked power cable up and went to hook the grounds back up and it did again. I noticed with the grounds unhooked with the power cable on the battery that my front running light comes on. Unhook it and it goes out...Last night I noticed that when I hit my brakes dash lights and running lights come on.... Any thoughts onthis?

Yeah this truck is OLD! Has a 20R motor in it...idles TERRIBLE but runs good from what I can tell. Antenna is crappy but as long as it isn't full blast it is clear.... I will try and get some pics if it is still in the shop tomorrow.

Wow is all I have to say! I am a junior in HS. I took automotive class last year and I am taking the advanced class this year. Anyways one of the teachers brought in an OLD toyota truck, probably from the 70s I am thinking. So I had to seal the windshield, leaking like a bitch! Sealed it and got it water tight. Then the instructors says I need to get the radio working, and he knows I am into stereos big time so I do all the stereo work in the shop. I pull the dash and all out, to begin with it has a NISSAN radio that the guy cut the dash all apart for, then when I took the radio out, the ground wasn't even hooked up and the power wire was just laying under the dash.... So I undid a few screws and found a nice ground, everything behind dash is all metal so that was easy. I then had to find a switched fuse to use for the power... Got all that hooked up, and then found out it only has ONE speaker, and that ONE doesn't even work! So I grabbed 2 ford speakers I had laying in the shop and put those in....had to split off from 1 speaker to run 2 since the radio was only meant for one.

I doubt it is something inside the trans. I laid underneath and got my dad to move the the shifter and nothing going down to the trans was moving, none of the cables or anything. I can see some rods moving behind the column but not sure what else...

Ok guys I have a 1995 Tahoe that is 2wd and automatic. Tilt column. Went out today and started it up...foot on the brake and went to shift it from park to drive...NOTHING....shifter went straight down....got underneath and the cables aren't getting pulled and I can see some of the linkages in the column moving.... Anyone had this problem before or know what might have broke? Thanks

DC 1000.1 or the Sundown Saz1500d. I personally have the Saz 1500d (When I ordered, the DC amps weren't out yet). Anyways I love the combo...has more potential than I have played because I am taking it "easy" until I get a better electrical.

Wow I am surprised at the 1200d and the 1500d! Seems I need to get my electrical better so I can use the full potential of the 1500d!

I have the same problem with another site...just did what you said and still can't fix it....

Amp is actually mounted on the back of the box.... I am going to get some carpet or something to cover it soon and when I do, I am going to put some padding between the box and the amp to keep vibration down.

You will be very happy with them!! With the Saz1500d on them, I check them after about 10minutes of play and they are still cool to the touch, I can check them about an hour later after bumping at almost full tilt and still cool, sometimes slightly warm but most of the time it is cool to the touch.

Well thats about all that I can go, maybe another volume notch or two. I am using CD's so they start to skip and my cig lighter is old so ipod connection sucks....going to try though and see what I can do. It seems to have gotten better but not sure...I have a friend that wants a demo and his neighbors don't care.....

I have a few more coming...these subs have about 4 hours of playtime on them so far.... Wired down to 1 ohm. Let me know what you think! More vids coming! EDIT:

Only thing I have done is added the winterboard....haven't messed around with too much more of it... I got the NES but haven't gotten any games for it yet.
