so im planning on building some doors for a more SPL side of life car but i want some highs. i was thinking of doing a 2 set of components in the doors. i was originally planning on doing two 6.5" components sets with tweets. however after further thinking i was considering of changing it to one set of 6.5's and a set of 5.25's. will i run into any phasing issues? im thinking the change just to mix up the look a little. either way it will be nice. well i got a email last night that i had an ebay message. from 3 days ago it just came across. he has them and should ship today or monday. sent him payment about 10 minutes ago. will be nice to wrap up this stereo job before christmas. NEUMAN

i work in the pipe industry if you wanted i could get you a heavy wall PVC pipe. any size 2" and up to 48" lengths start at 10'. but in 8" its just a few dollars a foot. i cot 3" and 4" at my house. NEUMAN

i am not personally about to attempt soldering in a new pot. its not needed nore is it teh right way to fix the problem. the biggest issue is in these models the "front" & "rear" channels have two pots sandwiched (right & left) together. then gain matched with bia's on the motherboard internally. so if i tamper with it it's really going to do no good. since the right and left pot are in there like two slices of bread and controlled by this one gain knob. the only right way to do this is by finding another knob. when i got the amp the outter pot was adjusted but the inner one was not. so im sure my customers car he had it in before was blasting on one speaker and the other wasn't. i called fosgate this morning just to cover all my bases again. an again i was told they don't work on the older amps and was referred to landis. at which point i informed them he didn't have any laying around. the nice thing however is the guy at fosgate said to check back tomorrow after they have some morning tech meetings and ask again. he said he would run it by a few people. so that is good. i also emailed 5 random people off craigslist across the nation selling or buying old fosgate amps in any condition. so maybe one of this hits will come back positive. he said he didn't. may want to mark that on the calender! lol i have also contacted landis technical, freemans car stereo, and there are no ebay listings for 4 channel dsm's busted or that i can constitute buying for a single gain knob. NEUMAN

last time i contacted them they told me they only kept and worked on current and last generation model amps. NEUMAN
