  1. i just set up my friends system with my new oscope. we started with the mp3 player first, then deck, then amp. Should the subs be hooked up when you set it? I tested with the subs unhooked from the amp
  2. its all finished up now. sounds pretty good too. the focus its hidden my new toy to set the gains
  3. I suprised my self a little bit with the carpeting. Ive never been good at using the latex backed stuff, but I got it to work out this time
  4. got my terminal and the carpet. the box is all done except for being in the car. thatll happen tomorrow mornin nice new terminal everythings ready to carpet. started rainin so i had to move into the garage. real nice with the glue fumes nice new sharp razor blades are the best
  5. heres a little vid of it playing some bass tests in my room.
  6. i started out like that. but now there too much stuff to open it up. so i have a AAA card. i still keep the spare in, its the thought of having one that gives me security. hah, but i dont even have a wrench to get the lug nuts off anyway.
  7. no more pics right now, i can try and get a vid, but im waitin on a new speaker terminal to get here(tues or wed), then more pics will come, thursday it should be all done
  8. Yea, its going in a focus. the carpet I have matches the interior perfect, so it will look nice
  9. i got more of the box done, now i have to just wait on my speaker terminal to get here, then put it in and carpet the box. its sounds pretty good in my house right now.
  10. i meant more of when you said "under side" i wasnt sure what you were talking about. yea, gotta have the hole for the wire too. my zune just used the 3.5 jack though. since nothin is "zune" compatible like the ipod stuff
  11. You could go all out and learn how to fiberglass and make new door panels. if you dont wanna do that thought the best way it to get rid of the plastic housing, and make a adapter out of 1/2" mdf. Ive even gone as small as 1/4" mdf to get some 6x9s in a 5.25 spot.(with some metal cutting)
  12. not sure what you mean, but that is the part where you would throw all your change and crap, the top part that opens up isnt on for the pics. also its facing the wrong way too.(words are upside down when you sit in the drivers seat) but he said thats how hes used to having it. but make sure you have a thumb hole or itll never come out.hah.
  13. Thanks haha. It was a pretty easy build. the zune was a half inch thick so i just took some half inch mdf and put the hole for the zune then glued another board under the one with the hole.
  14. Starting on the new port attaching it to the box Thats all for now. I have a Jasper jig from PE that i still havnt used, so ill be trying it out on this box
  15. So my garage is full of old boxes and subs that never get used. so i sold some to a friend to fund my summer project, Ive already spent half the money he paid me. The first thing I did for him was make a dock for his zune. I dont have any pics except the final piece. last thursday i started on the setup. Its a Hifonics zx1006 amp, powering two kenwood 12's. I wanted to redo the box for the kenwoods first so right now he has one of my L5s in. No Pics of the whats in his car yet. ill get them around next thursday. I do have some of the amp internals though. and the kenwoods and a pic of what shakes my house right now What if have done now though is start rebuilding the box. i have lots of extra mdf layin around too, so i didnt mind rebuilding the box for him. Started of with the original box. port is really small too much destruction and had split part of the bottom board
  16. What kind of meter is that? Where did you get it
  17. a 15in axis would do great sealed for sq. the lms on partexpress should do good too, but its not the lms ultra.
  18. i called for 3 days. they should of answered once. even still my axis's are great
  19. i never had luck with the numbers on the site. just rang and rang, never got email responses either.
  20. good bass too, just not enough for me. not sure on which direction they will face yet, but i wont be goin through the rear deck.
  21. Finished up today. Its not as much bass as i would like, but after a week or so ill get use to it. Some grill cloth to hide it
  22. i was thinkin about 4 E8s on the saz3000 for a burp at the comp, hah but yea, ill be building a ported box, its gonna have to be molded into the sides of the trunk to get all the airspace i can.
  23. The way its going to be bolted together, i think it will work alright. but the width of the baffle is the widest i can do it. so i couldnt make it wider if i wanted.
  24. Ill be working on puttin 2 15's in my trunk soon, and it may take me till the end of this summer to finish it. So for that time ill need the trunk empty to measure and test fit. so until that gets done I'm going to put 2 E8's in the center of my back seat IB. pics so far Thats all i can do for now. I'm waitin on some t-nuts to get here tomorrow
