Sanded it off with a grinder. I know my way around installing Used amp,bought it from my team leader. 100% working condition, this amp is wonderful I'm just interested in what would cause this.

I REALLY wanted to ground it down to the chassis but since this is a unibody car the strut towers were the best place. I may get like 25' 4 gauge and run a line for the ground from up front. I'm cleaning up wires tomorrow so I'll see what I can do with the ground for now.

Just started happening after I upgraded my amp and wire. I grounded back to the strut tower where I had my old amp. Already checked the RCA's and had them unplugged and it still did it. Bad ground maybe?

Looks more like my old 8 gauge. Nothing wrong with that wire but I would get some new 4 gauge.

It was fluctuating between 14.98 to 15.2 Like quickly? Or what? And was this when you were driving? Or was this reading off a dmm? Yes off the dmm. I was idling at about 14.9 and when I revved it would increase just a tad. Damn that is some nice voltage! Was this reading taken at warm or cold?

If he pulled the entire motor apart you would think all the gaskets were changed. Contact your mechanic and ask.

im pretty sure its not a cracked head because my mechanic would of told me, most likely something could of happend to the gasket. but as for oil being all in the manafold and exhaust, do you think thats kina a bunch of BS or is that possible as well...i should take a vid of the smoke and post it You think your mechanic would have told you. Sometimes they are not always truthful. The only way that the gasket could have really messed up is if old age or the previous owner got the car WAYYYY too hot and it messed it up. But if he got tooooo hot it could have cracked the head. But try the head gasket first.
