  1. After combing through the forum a bit more, it appears Autozone might be a good bet? They have some terminal clamps for me at least right? Was looking at this: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/a...End+and+Adapter Hopefully they have something that will work for 6 or 4 guage onto a positive terminal. I'm on the phone right now to see if I can get a new fuse holder in. Should save me some cash (that's drinkin money there!)
  2. I thought Lanzar was to be avoided? I mean, their amps are scary.
  3. 1.2 ohm? How does that work out? Seems like your choices of amp might be limited. Would be very weird to get a non-Lanzar amp workin them.
  4. I hear ya on that. I'm really gettin sick of booze now, and I'm a bit too old for acting the fool. Today I'm going to get most of it out of my system. I gotta have 1 good party every year. Halloween, New Years, St Pats, or even Purim. I was in the middle east for work last couple of St Pats so missed out (But damn do the Jews get drunk for Purim, its like they want to kill themselves with booze! Its wild) Its better to just smoke and chill and just lay low nowadays. No ill effects the next day either
  5. Duluth is pretty great. I lived there for a few years during college. Good memories. It can be a bit depressing up north (as you know) but there is no better place in the summer. There are so many little things to trip out on. Jump off the railroad bridge in Lester creek. Go under the freeway (I-35) downtown to see the 'Graffiti Graveyard.' That's a good one. Head over to Wisconsin Point and get drunk on the beach with a big bonfire.
  6. Same to you all! I was going to take today off, but I can wait til 5pm to start drinking (although I will be missing out on some of the shenanigans)
  7. Well they used to take your xbox and add some added heat sinks inside to it or something, but that was too costly. Now they just replace it with a newer one. Don't know what the penny trick is, but I assume its the same theory. Just dissipating more heat.
  8. For you electronic fans I cannot recommend this guy's work enough. Its hard to explain what he does exactly, but there is a very wattery sound to his highs and bass. I describe it as rub-a-dub. I believe he may have actually even recorded some of this stuff in a bathroom or simulated that type of echo. The best albums I recommend: Sabres of Paradise - Haunted Dancehall Two Lone Swordsman - Stay Down Two Lone Swordsman - Tiny Reminders These will sound GREAT if you have a decent car stereo.
  9. no, mach 1 is still around. maybe i'll pop in. online is an option i'm just impatient as hell. like i'm going to be able to stare at my subs without hearing them for long
  10. Ebay is realllly cheap on the CVR tip right now. Two 15's for $240, shipped! [took out a link to auction, don't wanna get in trouble there] I ordered two brand-new 12's last night for only $155, only $5 more than refurbs!
  11. Well, I don't want to use that trunkliner crap. It might match the drapes, but its just so tacky. I also might want something I can apply in sections and have the cuts not easily visible, so I thought, in my head, shag.
  12. Yeah, I want to use some type of shag but I didn't know if somehow it can store an electrical charge and ruin something lol does it really matter?
  13. I know the youtube video demonstrating the "towel trick" works, but thats only to get a few extra days from your xbox before sending it in. I thought MS themselves gave you like 3 years RROD protection, so why not send it in?
  14. OH and 60 amp fuse should be good right? The amp itself comes with two 30A fuses, so doubling up on the inline of the same size is fine, no? It doesn't seem like there is ever instructions spelling these details out.
  15. I'm actually a bit scared. It might be overkill and I might be able to barely hear my other speakers. I do love electronic music though, so I'm sure I'll be happy.
  16. Dvc 2 ohms. If I didn't now better, I would have gotten the 4 but people here instructed me and the schematics I looked at made the choice clear. I don't even know why someone would even want a 4 ohm version of that. The options for hooking it up are severely limited and lame. I guess if you were running just 1 @ 2 ohms.
  17. What is wrong with a discontinued amp? The one flaw they have is the plastic brackets... very fragile.
  18. L7, the square ones? Crazy. Those just make my head swim looking at em. Wait, so you ran 4 on two punch250's? I used those before. Not stable at 2 ohms bridged in each channel though. I wonder how you did that. Must have been 2 ohm model non-bridged. Seems underpowered otherwise.
  19. About 328w per speaker RMS: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mxaLuNGc7Uv/p...rence-611a.html 2 ohms sound different? lol
  20. Done. Got two new off ebay for $157. Now I need to make sure the wires I chose do those things justice.
  21. I think I need help before I hurt something. Here is the amp that is ordered: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mxaLuNGc7Uv/p...rence-611a.html Says 4 gauge recommended, so don't know how 8 will be. (edit: 6 gauge minimum hmm) Also, I am presuming a 60 amp fuse is adequate, although presuming with fuses seems dangerous.
  22. Who you callin a Princess? Lol, I checked, and those are close-ish, but I'm in Minneapolis. Not Canada yet
  23. Yeah, I'm just too lazy and cheap to have something shipped, so wanted to know if maybe Radioshack or.. something. Maybe a website I can order everything from at once to save time & money too. I know best buy has the things online, I just want some other ideas. Now I'm doubting myself when I say 8 gauge, because this inline fuse I ordered showed up and it said 8 gauge, but its smaller than the rockford wire I got comin out... hmmmm maybe its 4? gauges seem to differ from houses to boats to cars somehow.
