how is the FloridaSPL scene? i want to move to daytona beach, how big is the car audio culture down there??? Also man, you should look into a head unit that has USB or IPOD in on it, i used to use my touch in my jeep via 3.5mm audio cable and it cant come CLOSE to the sound quality or the lows of USB in with the touch, im sure you would love the difference. lastly, for such a clean box & port, lol. and sense im so bored right now, i might as well link this, it would be a nice idea to swap out the chinese tweets that come with the crescendos with some of these, but thats just my $0.02 http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-1006

dont you mean that some bass boosts (like the ones that are normally centralized around 45hz) boost the selected frequency from anywhere between 6 to 18db with a 12db slope? Yeah, but the really cheap amps just increase the line voltage of everything under 70hz to over 8v, and its pure clip heaven, this was the case with two old coustic amps that i found while cleaning out a storage unit last summer, gotta love storage units.

ive never heard of this before...someone else care to elaborate? try grounding to a seatbelt ant see, the vehicle rattles while going over bumps, and because seatbelts are a terrible place to ground, the music will dip with the bump because of the drop in voltage going to the amp, due to the shitty ground.

think of an EQ, with the 40hz slider maxed out, alot of amps use different designs, cheaper amps just clip the shit out of "bass"(<70hz) while others raise everything in the 20-70hz range by a solid 6db with a 12db slope, im sure you didnt understand that at all lol, but IMHO its better to use an EQ than any form of bass boost, as long as you know where the EQ clips.

They charge $600 for ipad integration, there is no way they could do something like this for $600. Edit: im a mod on their forum btw. yea exactly. they give everyone chance to have an ipad in there car. and for 600 i think thats a good deal. no fish prob doesnt touch cars for anything less then 5 grand Plus there is no way fish could do an install like this in a few hours, the reason soundman does simple ipad installs is to make sure they can get it done in a day.

Get out your DMM and test the voltage at the starter and have a buddy turn the key, if you have power but no crank, its prolly a bad clutch on the starter motor, if no voltage, its best to have a mechanic look at it. if it cranks but wont start, get a can of starting fluid and spray it into the air filter for one complete second, if it wont fire like this, you're looking at a pricey repair.

dash kits
BanginOnABudget replied to TeejayBee's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
go to metraelectronics.com and find the dash kit you need, get the part number, then go to google, search it, click on shopping, and find that dash kit the cheapest on the net.
