I a run Mechman 250a rhino with in-dash regulator and love it. They do everything he says they do. Both of the companies your asking about have a good reputation they both have good customer service, and both there alts put out what their said to do. you can't loose either way you go I would personally go with the Mechman with the 270a you can't never have to much alt power

4-level 4xl 18's or 2-level 5 18's
swervinburban replied to edog's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
I would go with the 4 xl's if I had the room, but if space was limited I would choose the level 5's. I have a nissan pick up where space is limited so I went with a par of the best 15's I could to maybe geta edge on vehicles with greater space capabilities, but if I had more space I would of went with more cone area. So if you have the space go for the most cone area you can afford -

Alternator companies????
swervinburban replied to tahoexfixssd's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
yeah its well worth its price and then some. The only problem I had was that I had to run a relay to the regulator because I didn't have a free fuse location in my fuse box and ran it to a fuse that was powering something in my truck and it didn't supply enough current for both devices, so I was getting an unsteady voltage at first. I ran it to a relay problem solved I wanna say it took like 3-4 business days if im not miatake to come in once paybal cleared -

swervinburban replied to Gearstix's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
I got my 2/0 from weldingsupply.com I paid 218.xx for 50ft of red and 50ft. of black. I used damn near all of it in my lil nissan 2 runs+ and 2 runs- along with several grounds, jumpers, and big 3 -

Well I instilled my secondskin dampner door pack on my roof today and took a befora and after vid. I'll be starting a build thread in a few days which will include the insulation process and pics, after I get a lil more work done, but wanted to share this with everyone for right now. OOhhh and I also added some 1 in by 1/8 in aluminun strips as bracing for the roof als well, so that helped to. Before After Thank you Ant at secondskin audio!!!

Whats your budget I'm running a mechman 250a Rhino and love it. Its worth the money in my opinion and theres plenty of alt dealers on this board that can help you -
This is my home boy truck decided I would post a couple vids and pics. He didn't really play any good demo songs but you can still get the idea if you know what I mean, and vids were taken with passenger door and third door open with drivers window down. Camera really didn't do any justice to the amount of flex going on either. A few pics first and a few vids he did a 152.8 sealed in the kick panel today normally does mid 153's but it was over 100 degrees today and he only did 1 run on tl and had to leave. heres a few more once again vids doesn't do it any justice. I'll have to get him doing some hair tricks one of these days didn't really have time today he was in a hurry!
