  8. im not a supervisor. and that 300-800 is just commision. i still get the 8 bucks an hour on top of that. so even if i suck at selling ill be getting 400 a week. i know man. i HATE asking for help at fry's because no one knows shit. but, this should help me do well since i for into car audio. maybe they will make me look like a super star.
  9. oh i know. this is more just to see how loud i can get on music because i peak at 45hz. it wont be used to compete.
  10. i dont see that in the rules... Competitors may use the program material of their choice while competing. Additional Guidelines: The program material being played must originate from a source unit that is specifically designed for installation and operation in a 12-Volt auto sound environment. This includes cassette decks, CD players and changers, DVD players and changers, VCR's and VCP's, MP3 units, AM / FM / Satellite radio tuners, and any other playback device that is specifically designed for installation and operation in a 12-Volt auto sound environment. The program material must consist of music. No "test tones" are permitted. Test tones "camoflaged" as music or "songs" that are advertised as music but are, in fact, test tones will not be permitted in competition. The program media may be from a commercial source (such as a CD you purchase) or a custom, homemade recording.
  11. i might. can you do it?
  12. ive found a bunch of great songs for bass race but they are all a little low. i was wondering if anyone could speed up a song to get me a 45hz bass line?
  13. cool. i wanted a helicopter track to help train my dog for search and rescue. so he wont be afraid of a real copter.
  14. 5.2 b4 displacement. so your at about 4.8 after. use the12volt or bcae1.com and itll calculate how long you need them.
  15. i have to share my fav. burn out story... Benefits of minivan stealth Gus Mahon, 7/22/99 In the downtown Putnam shopping mall parking lot, lots of kids in flashy looking cars do burnouts, then they *quickly* run and hide as the local police come to check out each and every car there, trying to find "the culprit". I usually avoid burnouts in public lots, but I decided to prove a point. I pulled up next to Mustangs and Camaros and started talking with the kids. They thought that there was nothing good about a minivan, and they didn't believe that it was quicker than their cars, so I didn't win any points on speed. I told them that "stealth" was good about a minivan. To show them, I pulled off a big smoky burnout across the parking lot, and much to their amazement (as if the burnout wasn't amazing enough) I just stopped and parked right at the end of my own 2 black strips! The cops came and went by me like I didn't exist. There was still smoke in the air. They checked out everybody's car except mine. I was the only one with a hot hood, but they never touched it! Ahhh, stealth.... turbominivan.com
  16. hmm... that is interesting... but some weird magic goes on in a crx to make them louder so im not sure i can trust your results
  17. not really. you wont be disapointed about how a ported box sounds. its just that if you ever did go sealed with the same subs, you will say "hey that sounds a little better." its nothing to worry about.
  18. i hate people that dont use a damn period. it makes it so hard to understand what the hell your saying!!! sorry...
  19. my box is 5^ft so i just did all the calculations for these ports lol. made me sound like i know what im doing for a sec
  20. thats why i asked. ive only seen people mention it on forums. ive never seen a company back that up. im more wondering if its a myth. let me know if you find anything.
  21. haha fail. nothing in your sig. go ported. itll sound fine.
  22. documentation to support lower port area for flared ports?
  23. pvc pipe. half the price. but you need 2 6", 5 4" or 9-10 3" and if you want to tune to 35hz youll need them to be over 20" so you would need to buy the 6" aero and then another pipe to extend it because they only come 17" long.
