  1. the story wasnt breakthrough but it was entertaining. what they did with the animation was amazing.
  2. that game is like crack to my mom... it scares me.
  3. i really wish i trusted sonic enough to buy it from them. last time i tried to order from sonic i had to call wellsfargo to get my money back because they never shipped or responded to emails. ya, im talking to that guy on ca.com. trying to see if he will go for a payment plan. he may be pming some friends on here about me. thanks for the link man.
  4. x10!!! answer this question!! and if he took the time to wrap it all in electrical tape then he is an idiot because he could have spent that time drilling a hole for real wire.
  5. if you buy used you could get the same setup i have for that price. each item can be had for around $300 (hu, sub, amp). might even be selling my HU soon if your interested.
  6. if such a noob beats your two 15" ssd's with half the cone area and less than half the power... you fail... hard if he REALLY knew what he was doing he could beat you with those 12"s though. but he clearly isnt even close to knowing how to do that.
  7. are you asking if anyone in the area is louder then him? if so, hell yes there are lol. i have 3 friends doing over 160db. i think meade got 153~ last time he went to a comp. he isnt god or anything, its not THAT hard to get louder than him. but being the loudest isnt exactly his goal and he doesnt compete so im not really sure what you want to know.
  8. my laptop is almost always on. i just open and close it. last night i restarted it and the sound was a ton better. i also installed a driver for my sound card. maybe itll still act up after some time like with the OP, not sure yet. only thing i notice now is that i get frequent crackling like its trying to buffer the song? if i replay the part of the song that crackled it wont do it again. any of that make sence? edit - the sound was actualy a lot louder with my headphones after the restart.
  9. new, used, refurb, i dont care. i need a good price because im barely working. will be selling my pioneer avic-f700 if anyone wanted to trade me or buy that. ill even take website links if you know of a good place to get this HU dirt cheap. let me know guys.
  10. looks pretty nasty but since its on the egde, most of the impact would have been diverted outwards. i dont think itll be a problem but im sure rusty will come in some time and give his input.
  11. well, for me, i have a dell latitude d630. i dont believe mine takes any amount of time for it to happen. i notice it on itunes and windows media player (only 2 i use).
  12. the way you demagnetize a magnet is by hitting it against something. so if you have a chip missing thats 1" big... i would be a little worried about it. but yes, pics will help.
  13. i have no idea but almost all my music sounds like shit on my computer. it was driving me crazy last night. i was wondering if it was the sound card or itunes or what. hope you get an answer, might help me too.
  14. they are just shallow mount subs. i used to have a pair. they were impressive to me back then but its like a baby beating on a tin can compared to what i have now. people always say dumb shit like this. next time i should respond with max power too. im not running 3500w, im running 7000 watts!! it the only way they will understand because if you ask them "max power or rms" they get all confused
  15. i vote that the shop fucked up somewhere. most likely in your settings but i would pull the subs and check the wiring just be be sure. maybe they did something stupid and wired to 4ohm or something. maybe a forum member lives close enough to help you out.
  16. ill do a very quick one because its explained a lot on here and its late, i want to go to sleep. head units clip before max volume, lets just say 3/4 volume is your maxed clean volume. now you set your gains at this volume. it you "crank up" the bass knob you increase the signal output. now since you are already at the max signal before clipping because you did your tuning correctly (hint hint) if you add to it with the bass boost it will mean a clipped signal. its an artificial signal booster. "cranking it up" will almost always mean very hard clipping. i may demo this and add it to my videos. look up my thread on clipping/gains and ill see about adding a video on this.
  17. its something you are doing. i clamped my amps and im getting 1750w per sub. i did a ton of testing, at least an hour of burps and bass races. my subs didnt even get warm. room temp at best. sssooooo, my best guess would be that you are clipping. remember this could be at the amp, hu or even the song itself. however it could be the box. i just looked at your build really quick and i think your port looks a little small for 14 cubes. maybe too much pressure is building up inside the box and they arnt moving as much as they should. how are you so sure that you arnt clipping?
  18. hahaha, i didnt read the name till you pointed it out.
  19. i think i noticed this a while ago. now i just notice the headaches and my ears feeling like they need to pop.
  20. ya i know, but they dont say efficiency on that test. i just wanted to show you efficiency numbers.
  21. eh, my numbers were a little off but here is a bunch of info for this question. just look at the test results. http://audioforum.termpro.com/cgi-bin/ubb/...20;t=013151;p=0
  22. no no no no. the amp puts out more power at a lower resistance, yes, but it becomes much less efficienct. so the saz1500 is something like 80% efficient at 4ohm. at 1ohm its closer to 65% efficient and takes a lot more electrical to be able to support it. so now your trippling the power output and your amp is 15% less efficient so itll take a ton more electrical to keep up.
