  1. Voltminder works with tons of OEM applications... it's a great way to step into an upgraded electrical system without dropping $500 on a new alt. Also works with most of our alts, and many others aftermarket alts too!
  2. Pricing will be released very soon!!! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif Might want to pay special attention to the new items... D6500 and Voltminder available next month... accepting orders next week!!!
  3. Entrants and spectators at this weekend's Unified World Finals in Tulsa will be automatically eligible for a chance to win a FREE Richard Petty Driving Experience. The entry form below will be included with every competitor pack and every paid door entry. Just fill out the special form provided at the event and drop it off at the registration booth and win a chance to drive 150+ MPH at the speedway of your choice 1 Entry allowed per person... manufacturer participation is prohibited.
  4. Your voltage will only drop during heavy amperage load periods. If the car is running, then the alternator will quickly bring the voltage back up depending on how far you are exceeding the alternator's output. You will have a great start to your electical system improvements. The alternator should be the final piece to the puzzle!
  5. Great choice! However, keep in mind that in order to hold your voltage above 13V your alternator will need to be able to provide 100% of the current required by your vehicle/audio system. A fully charged XS Power battery will rest at ~13V, so if your alternator is providing 100A and your car/system is drawing 200A, then that means you are pulling 100A from your battery(s). A 100A load on a pair of 1200's will result in a voltage drop from ~13V to ~12.7V. Hope this info proves helpful!
  6. If you want us to look up your application, you can shoot us a quick email to [email protected] and we can look up the fitment of your battery. The D5100 and D1200 would work great to power your 2500W. Dont forget to pick up the 580 post adaptors for your 5100.
  7. We'll have to look it up at work to see what fits... might wanna shoot us an email at [email protected] for a quick look up.
  8. D925 would work, but not really meant to fit the spot. I beleive that car has a group 51R battery from the factory, but would have to double check at work tomorrow. If so, I would recommend the D5100R with a pair of the 580 top post adaptors for direct replacement.
  9. Yes, 4 D3100's will be enough. I would recommend also using a D3400 under the hood, and adding more alt power if you want to keep your voltage in the 14V range.
  10. You can buy it direct or through summit, mechman, ***, darvex, etc. Just shoot us an email at [email protected] Thanks!
  11. The new site is up now... it will be evolving over the next few weeks into something much different. We can email the wattage recommendation chart as needed. [email protected]
  12. The part number to order is PN 555. Just order that part and you'll be good to go!
  13. Thats the only place to get the deal, and Oct. 7th is when the deal starts. You can get the batt from them today without the lunch cooler.
  14. You can purchase them through Darvex, Sound Solutions, or Mechman.
  15. We are building our new site... the wattage chart will be posted back up, and included in our new brochure to be released this month The guy you "know" may have had other circumstances that caused his situation to fall outside our general recommendations... layout the details of his problems and I'm sure the reason he needed more batteries will be evident.
  16. It doesnt matter what subs you use, if you are powering 1000W, the D680 has you covered
  17. For either setup all you will need is a D680: It can provide supplemental power for 1000W with no problems. You can also grab one of these nice side mount hold downs that will allow you to mount it to the side of a box, under the rear deck, or under a seat. This will be your most powerful option of all that were mentioned in this thread.
  18. I know a lot of people running Jenson, does that make them hella nice too? Oh, and I do have experience with the 1400 and 1800 and would much rather use the equivelent sized XS Power models. Priced the same with much more power for starting, audio or any other high amp application. Oh, and we stand behind our products for 3 years whereas Kinetik stands behind theirs for one Anymore questions? Anyone want to move this out of the XS Power section in case I decide to stop being nice?
  19. Isolator is not needed, but the thing you pictured isnt an isolator, its just a fancy distro made for an Optima. You can still use that if you want.
