  7. that sounds sweet.,,hmm wonder how it would play in my car
  8. you Dont have to get lower.....if you are trying for SPL then a little higher might be better......I usually aim for around 33 Hz in most of my previous boxes but I think I am going to go for 38-40 on the next one...
  9. no you dont have to use 1/0 gauge but if you are going to do it you should only do it once if you use less now and upgrade later you might want to upgrade the wire again.. I mean I would atleast use 2 gauge if you are not going to go with 0
  10. remember most of the time you get what ya pay for....i know nothing about that amp, though.
  11. yeah....I heard about it today and a buddy sent it to me...I laughed pretty hard
  12. there is TermLab, Audio Control, or you can get some cheap, SPL meters at radio shack, but they are no good above 126Db...and tey actually are not the best at all really.
  13. you got dual 2 ohms. each speaker alone can be wired to 4 ohms or 1 ohm. if you wire each sub to 1 ohm....then you can wire the subs into either 2 ohms or .5 ohms. if you wire each into 4 ohms then you can wire the subs into either 8 ohm or 2 ohms, use that link and you should get it right every time...
  14. use this and it will show you exactly what you are wiring to
  15. an amp that puts out 2000 rms at 2 ohms would give your subs about 1000 a piece...might I suggest take a look at diablo audio amps if you want to get another amp either 2 HF 1000's or 1 HF 2500 would be awesome. :)
  16. nah some canadian whiskey..it is 8 pm here...but if it was in the am Scotch would be great
  17. it will lower it, but depending on the sice of the box and and crosssectional area of the port as to how much it will lower it, because lengthing the port will decrease to internal box volume..so it is a little give and take
  18. lengthening the port length should lower ur tuning, and in a ported bot polyfill maybe not be the best idea
  19. that sucks man...glad your ok though....goodluck with the insurance
