My mom wants to come to this event.. she was big into watching me back when i was in HS, now im 30 and she still thinks its cool to "Watch all those speakers move that much" at 50..haha gotta luv Momz! Hell she'd sit on the roof in the s-10 for me! LMAO

The cotton like stuff that blew out from the caps on the crossover are the only thing i can shed any light into.. Ive only seen that happen when you hook one up backwards to a higher voltage.. A 1/4farad cap will blow a hole in your hand if it lets go(seen it) from being hooked up wrong. Do you have a small light bulb in your crossover? is it lighting up all the time? if so you are leaking lots of high voltage to the speaker and could be a amp problem from my experiences..Your sure to get some more experienced members to chime in here..

Nope, the other amp is still at the UPS depot.. I thought that was a far drop myself, i have been iffy about this alt since i got it, it deff has been an improvment from the stock 105a cuzz i could shut the truck off at full tilt on the brake in gear before, first the H?U screen would go black then the truck would shut off.. I do only have some junk ass autozone special 550cca POS in there that looks to be 10yrs old, i need to check the date tag.

My elec is getting there, all 1/0 and a 300a alt. but no extra batts yet. at full tilt idleing i drop to 13.4ish..with the headlights on idle on the brake in gear ill drop to 11.8 full tilt.

i run this amp. I know its not a RF or Sundown but for my budget, its perfect for me. right now its running 4 12s @ 2ohms, but i have a second amp sitting at the UPS dock waiting for delivery and will run 1 amp per pair at 1 ohm and see what they do. I had him a little on cone area(4-12s vs 2-15s) but he was deffinatly RMSing more to his 2 than my four. im only getting 185w to each right now cuzz the 1 amp is running 2ohms..lol His setup looked promising, but i cant tell ya..hahaha

Needless to say i only got to see his 2 audiopipe 15s that banged so hard cuzz he was a little too embarrased to play it after my short demo. thats why ya drive to my house and then we go from there. its right at 3 hrs to the trade center from my house. But we have a place to crash up there at my brothers.. no long drive after the show

Ok please remember im still getting the hang of this ported thing, fukin newbs i swear...So what exactly are you worried about again? Port noise and turbulence cuzz of the "wierd" shape port? Or not even being able to reach a desired tune? They have both been mentioned in the build i just wanted some more in depth info on your concerns and why.. I couldnt tell from the pic, but if that is a multi-axis router can a cnc'd flair be worked out for the DC port?
