CC-1 Source of Error????
lt1z323 replied to SnowDrifter's topic in SMD Crossover Callibrator (CC-1) Topics
http://www.pispeakers.com/Linkwitz_vs_Butterworth.gif Linkwitz/Riley crossovers are -6@ the crossover point. This should not be a problem because most amps use butterworth crossovers which are -3@ crossover point whether it be 12db 18db or 24db. -
I think he's saying don't expect to get 5kw from a 1kw amp.

At the moment I just run an Incriminator Audio 6.4 which outperformed my Rockford T400-4 by far. I don't know what the best amps are but I know my friends sundown sae 1200d v2 completely outclassed my T1000-1bdcp edition.

Then this is just a stupid thread, Go on and get a rockford. Or stop being so biased and try some new shit out. You never know you might like other brands but you have to be open to try out new things. tired a hifonics, tried a crunch,..need i go on? Im sorry some ppl may not want to spend the extra money but its so worth it. gotta stay with amps that i know are trust worthy, like rockford or kicker. not biased if ive given those amps a chance.. Fosgate is not the best thing since sliced bread. I used to run 100% fosgate down to the wires not anymore though.

Yes use 0db. Gain overlap is set at the amplifier not the deck or the processor.

Just have a little discretion when listening to decaf, i don't know what level his music is recorded at but i'm sure it's not -10db. so if something sounds strained back off the volume knob.
-
my orginal question was yes, just though it was kinda odd that the device didnt detect the 40hz signal til the volume was so high.. Because the -15db tone is much quieter than the 0db track you should be using. thank you for clearing that up, when i use the 0db track on my iphone, i distort at 33/40 when i use the actyal disk, i distort at 37/40 Possibly distortion from the iphones dac or compression from the file

For your head unit use the 0db track. gain overlap is set at the amp not the hu. if this is true, when i ran the 0DB 40 hz track i distorted at 32/40 I believe the manual and Steve's demonstration videos will prove I'm correct. 0db for head unit and -10 when setting sub gain

We talking about DC power? i talked to them on the phone about a hour or so ago said only 180 was available Also again this is a cobalt ss 2.4 not the 2.0 Yes indeed. Also a gentleman from the parts department at chevy told me that the ss was the same alt as all the other models unfortunately a stock alt costs the same as my dc power alt.
-
DC should have more options for you i have a 270 from them and i think they told me they could do a 320 if needed. Another member here by the user name emperorjj has done dual alts on an ss.

Correct they are loud clear and have a nice amount of mid-bass. -

Look into Bravox audio. I have a pair of their Kevlar series components and they blew away my Rockford Power series comps. -
