Cool beans. XL is a loud sub, she will be loud. -
If this new engine i have in her makes it to finals i will be happy, if it makes it back home i will be jumping for joy (note i cant jump so this is serious excitement). Now if it could make it down to Sparks i would be buying a lotto ticket. Best bet Rusty is come to finals!!! As much as it hurts to say it maybe next year it will get towed to shows. Not sure i want to keep doing engine swaps on the weekends anymore. Cuts into SPLing!!!

There are some pics right there. Thanks for the kind words to those who really want to see this truck come out to my show Sept 13th! None of you will come....well maybe a few so i will see those people there and they can check it out. Thats you Dave i need you at this show man, you have ZERO excuses not to be there! There is a good chance you could win another lv3 12 and then you will have a pair and all for FREE...... You would be a fool not to come. Dont make me cry man, im to nice of a guy for you to not come. But i want everyone to know this truck wouldnt be bangin off the #s if it wasnt for Rusty and DC Audio. Huge thanks to everyone involved over there. Also big thanks to the people who have helped with this build. Although most was done by myself, there was always help when i needed it, and endless discussion outside of the shop to improve and work out the #s. These people firstly Team Riprock, dB Don, Mike Bails, Vicky, Devin, and my parents. In the end for a crippled guy to put this together, with help from good friends i think that anyone can do it. Also its NOT a Astro!!! And is NOT a Blazer!!!! Team Its Not Real

Thats right the 180s run. Note the 179 run was done right after a 178 pass where they forgot to put the stopper in the passenger window, with low voltage!!! YIKES next show we will see Canada's first 180 dB Drag run!!! Lots of history going down around the Western side of Canada.

The start was clean yes,no red lighting here. But the violation was because this was in elimination mode, but i was qualifying. The story behind this was a simple click to soon to create brackets by Don, before i cold qualify. So we made due with what you seen in that vid. In 5 weeks i will turn it up point two!
-
Thanks Don for the real LOUD show yesterday. We had a 179 extreme 2 run, and my 160.5 bassrace so it was a LOUD one!!! And how long did we demo afterwards? We beat the hell out of these DC subs and they keep getting louder. #1 fan boi yall. hahaha

Who is that handsome devil in that video? Not to bad with some lv3 15s hey? Rusty i did lose the steering wheel, the horn cover came off and 2 of 8 screws holding the wheel on came right out the other 6 were loosened off pretty badly. We will work out the small details with this thing should get a 162 bassrace certified at a 2x event with a little hard work. Notice how my song ended 2 seconds before the run was over, that hurt the score a bit as you seen it drop 0.4 right as time ended. Multi point shows = certified scores. Certified scores in which are needed to get invites to world finals, and certified classes, so if this isnt certified enough for you DJ then i dont know what to tell you man.

Yes he will soon be stepping in to the world of contraceptives.

I have burped a single lv5 12 on 20,000 watts before, it held up no problems. Also daily drove and Bassrace them with 2700-2800 watts each. With good clean power im sure it will take all of 4000 watts. I know i ran a pair of lv3 12s off a Stetsom 4k2d daily and they took everything that amp could dish out.
-
I dont have a blazer, but in my competition truck it sports 4 Stetsom 4k2d amps, 12 volts.
-
The new motor will be larger diameter then the lv5. I have told Rusty before he should have just machined a few of the lv5 motors out to work with a 4" coil and see what they could do. That lv5 is a good SPL platform, and i bet she would have been much loud with a 4" coil, but this new lv6 is going blow it away!!! But you already know this TJ.
-
Thank you. Which truck are you talking about though the one in the vids or Big Blue? MORE RUBBER LESS RIM!!!! lol
-
Ya from what i am told this lv6 subs in not neo. Which is fine by me because it will probably be very close in SPL to the leading neo motored subs out there. Plus i would never want to daily drive a neo sub, thats like burning 100 dollar bills. lol

my loud and dirty weekend
The A Team replied to loudmofo's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Cool beans! Nice vids, and box. But i think you need less chrome and more rubber then you wont get stuck. haha I know the people on this site dont like to hear stuff like that. -

Well held a show on sunday it went pretty well. Here are some vids and my attempts at requiting more #1 DC fans.

By the sounds of it this will be the lv6 in a nut shell. A wise man must have told him to make a sub like the lv6 at the beginning of time. lol :0
