you should tune a tad bit higher like 35 as stated above a lot of people think to be able to play lows you have to tune to 3hz music HARDLY EVERY goes below mid 30s and it will also make 40s easier

That sounds like a TON of fun, but also a ton of liability and $$ if something goes wrong. yeah i know what you mean but my dad knows more about that than i do and i can contact him if i run into any problems

30 is WAY too low for them you should tune to like 36-38

the batts are more expensive for a 12v system thats why im leaning to higher voltage i was going to start off with 3 batts either way i went and if i did separate systems id only need 2 back by the amps and just keep my stock one under the hood

chest is one of the worst places i feel you on only getting 2hour sessions i have waiting on mine to be done i sit till the tattoo artists taps haha

yeah the only reason i was considering 16v batts because they are the same price or very close in price as the 14v

holy tripple post anyway... so your saying that going from 3500 watts at 12v to 5670 at 18.9 i wouldnt hear the difference?

im not limited to 1 alt my truck is pretty common so alts are easy to get i will be running a SAZ3500 i talked to jacob today and he said they are stable to 19v so charging at 18.9 for a 16v system isnt a problem i have thought about running both alts for a single 12v system

i cant decide what i need/want to do i have to get an alt either way for my 91 c1500 i can either run a dual setup with my stock alt/ batt and run a separate voltage for the amps either 14 or 16v (most likely 16v because if i have to split it i might as well make it worth it) i can also just run a single alt and build a very strong 12v system or i can do as i planned before and run a 14v system for the whole truck but i really want to stay away from using stepdowns unless someone can justify the cost of them over just running a completely separate charging system all together thanks

and alt is an alt if its spinning its making power the "universal" part comes in with custom harnesses for vehicles you would most likely have to make a custom bracket fr that one to fit it looks like a GM alt but mechman would put a harness on it to fit your vehicle
