    So heres the update. Everything is good except the sub. Im pretty sure one vc is done. I made a thread this morning about the vc impedence. One side read right at 1 ohm, but the other side doesn't give a reading. When I push on the cone, theres not really a grind, but a sort of click sound. Waiting for the shop to open to call Rusty. And to Corey, I would buy yours if it were a 12.

    You think a fucked up remote bass knob could have anything to do with this? Im sitting here thinking, and earlier today I turned the knob about halfway and no change in bass volume, cranked that bitch hard to full tilt and the bass came back in.

    Went to the store about half hour ago bumpin as usual. Get to the parking lot and change the song to what I want to hear when I come back, and the bass goes silent. The amp is still fine and didn't go into protect, there was no smell or smoke, and the dustcap is not warm. Im hoping that a speaker wire came loose or at worst a tinsel lead broke. I gotta pull it out tomorrow, too dark now. Any other things you guys think I should check for that would cause the sub to quit working?

    You're just gonna have to build a box and try it different positions in the car. Trial and error, man.

    Yes, try to aim for the middle of the port range. For sub disp, it depends on basket and magnet size. You should be able to find the disp on the manufacturers website.

    I'm trying to put some vids on youtube to then put here, when I upload the vids, it is taking 90 mins to 2 hours for 2-3 minute clips. Is this right? What do I need to change? Im a complete rookie when it comes to computers and internet. Can someone help?

    Half shafts aren't too hard. You shouldn't have to lift the motor, but you may have to remove the wheel hub/brake rotor to get the shaft in/out. Don't know about the chassis crack.
