Them SA12's are tough. I run a SAZ3500 to 3 them in my truck at 1.33 ohms with no problems. Sundown FTW

That's just crazy

I did 4 12's sealed just a few weeks ago...went for the most woofers I could fit inside the cab 'cause of the looks It was pretty loud... then I took a sub out to fix an air leak...and fired it up like that - with a hole in the baffle, and that was a bit loouder even at half volume. So I swapped in a 6" port instead of the corner most sub. I've got to say I'm a bit sorry I didn't build this box ported in the first place (it real restrictive inside right now with heaps of bracing) - It's nasty loud, and hits real low with 34Hz of tuning - way louder on the lows than the sealed setup But in your case, sealed might work better as you have more cubic feet per sub

an interesting question... both are great amps from great companies I don't have much experience with the newer RF Power Mini line. I have had the older Power Elites in he form of several T20001bd's and T10001bd's but again never compared them with the Sundown amps back to back on similar power levels. The closest it would be was a direct swap from a T20001 to a SAZ3500D to power my 18" TC3000 based custom sub, but I don't think that holds much relevance here I will tell you that the SAE1200 v.2 is a powerhouse of an amp...way, way underrated and very capable of putting out ridiculous amounts of power on a dynamic load...it's a great bang for the buck overall and the one my guys have been beating on has shown to be bulletproof in terms of reliability - we're talking real winter here with temps in the single didgits, severe voltage drops caused by anemic charging systems and worn out bats and regular full-on demos

We will gladly take you up on that sometime The single 12 vid - the SAE1200D is running at 1ohm...sorry, didn't clamp it yet (trying to justify spending 300 for a fluke 337 - almost convinced myself ) ....we are testing out different combos - if you look at the vids from the youtube link I posted there are a bunch of different setups. Overall we are quite amazed the the SA-12's performance...Hopefully we will put up some more in a couple of weeks with 4 SA-12's The car is a Lada Sputnik 21093 (I kinda believe that's what is used when it is marketed abroad...yeah this thing is actually exported to AAA+ countries ) it's a small 5 door hatch and the next best thing to the CRX (actually there's a 3 door version as well)....the engine is puny and the stock electricals suck... it does meter pretty good... We were getting between 151 and 153 on a single 18" powered by two Sundown SAZ3500D's running ot 0.5ohms each last year - very limited by only two 55A Optimas we had at the time (we put the system together in under a week just in time for our final event)

We are actually looking to pick up the TL in the next month as well. I think, we can arrange getting this meter out to your place to test it out and have some fun with it...I didn't actually intend for all this to sound like a sales pitch LOL And many thanks for the welcome you have one of the greatest forums around! Mr. Meade ...wow! Many thanks for the kind words on behalf of Team Sundown Russia and the guys here at W.R.Customs. We hope to show much more in the coming months as the season starts. I just talked it over with my guys the meter uses the Spectralab software with custom calibiration, the sensor itself matches the TL. As fas as I know it does not do RTA (at least not the version we have). We do also have dual sensor - USB Bass Meter Pro that allows heads up metering for two cars. If you are so inclined we'd gladly sell that to you for $400. We even have one of our teammates residing in your area - he travels between Russia and US quite often. We can get the meter to him and he'll come by so you can test it out yourself... The market name is USB Bass Meter (there are several versions) .... it is made locally and has it's own software...these are calibirated against a TL so they are fairly accurate (within a tenth or so of the TL) up until 155 or so... Obviously the TL score is still king for bragging rights, but the so called "datcheg-2" (household name if you will) is quite a usefull tool to the average joe when dialing in his system and testing different setups and boxes - and it costs about half the price of the basic TL The box is designed and built by the guy who shot the vid...he is quite good with box designs you can message him on youtube and see his other vids this is the same car, same amp - the subs are d2's so it's wired to 2ohms....that setup metered over 141 on music... the SAE1200D's are absolute monsters
