all wiring is fine and its all songs and it doesnt even have to be up loud or anything the amp just gets hot as fuck and gets quiet

EDIT: wow sorry i was looking at that completely backwards. it probably is too high but i have no way of tuning correctly...i dont have an o-scope and dont kno how to use a multi meter to do it but my real question is, why did it JUST start doing it after ive had for like 2-3 months??

ok so i have an Alpine mrp-m1000 hooked up to an MTX 9500 12", the power wire is 4ga and the speaker wire is 8ga, i have a big 3 done with 2ga and stock alt and battery and the deck is a Pioneer deh-p5900ib all connections are good and everything is hooked up right. now my problem is, i will be bumpin it for a while and it will sound good but then the amp gets really hot and cuts out to about half power and i have to let it cool down before it will work right again any ideas?
