If he's willing, he could actually fit LVL5's back there. But that's his choice.

Depends on how much airspace the bracing and port take up. I would increase the height an extra 2 inches. Doing that would give you 10.7 cubes of airspace before displacement.

If you use .75" MDF, you will have about 9.3 cubic feet of airspace. Not enough for the LVL4 18"s. Even if you walled it in (assuming this is the cargo area), you wouldn't have enough airspace for 2 LVL4 18"s.

They don't mass produce 30"s, but you can get them custom made. There's a local guy with at least 30"s, maybe bigger. His rims are almost as big as my tires.
