So I'm quite disappointed with Newegg. They only have two 2.5" HDD and both are less than 100 GB. Not really their fault, there's just not much demand for those drives. Thanks for the link dred. But it's no longer under warranty (I had to send it in once and it wasn't under warranty then, so I had to pay for the repairs). I got the HDD out and it looks to be in good shape. It was connected (not loose). I plugged it back in to be sure and still had the same problem (well almost). Now it gets as far as the loading windows screen (the one with the bar running acroos the bottom) and just sits there (the HDD external LED blinks a warning light indicating a problem). I'm gonna try it again, but would still like to replace it (it's old and clogged with stuff and only has 10 GB's of space left anyway; my fault ) It's SATA (it says Serial AT, so I'm pretty sure ). I'll get to looking on Newegg. Thanks again!

So I dropped my laptop the other day. And now it won't work. It'll power up, but that's it. It won't load windows (even in safe mode). I have very important data on there that I need to get (if possible). I can't find what type of hard drive connector it uses (IDE, SATA). I was thinking of buying an external 2.5" HDD enclosure and need help deciding which to get. If anyone knows what type of connector it uses, could you let me know and recommend an adaptor? I was looking at one of these 3: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....amp;srchInDesc= because they claim both SATA and IDE. BTW, it's a Compaq Presario V6120US. Thanks in advance. EDIT: I got it christmas '06, so I know it's old. But I would like to keep it if possible. Does anyone have any hard drive recommendations for this computer?

Now I do agree on that. Reading, texting, or any other distracting activity should be punished just as strictly. If you text, read, or distract yourself (intentionally) while driving, have fun in jail too!

If the interviewer asks you what pay you think you should start at, start low (minimum wage or less if you think you can afford it). Same for the working hours.

Depending on the manufacturer/year/model, they have another wire that runs to the computer (the comp controls the alt remotely on some older models and most newer models). It'll still run but your warning light will come on. Like I said, depends on the manufacturer/model/year.

If you want to make some real money, sell them for $.25-.50 a tweet. You would make a ton off of people who don't know that they could get them cheaper.

Not to mention is you set them with a DMM, you could very well have clipped them (unless they are the ones with the clip light, I forget which brands have those clip lights). Their not bad if your on a budget. But they don't have clean power past 2/3 of their RMS.

^^Those specs are max. RMS on these amps is half what the max is.

You have yet to break it in. Run it at 1/4 power until the smell stops, then go to 1/2 power for a few hours. That smell is the sub breaking in and pushing it to hard during break-in is never good.

That'd be your best bet.
