In the market for one of each. Need a handgun box for the nigthstand, dont want to keep a loaded gun with a two year old floating around. Then want something for a couple rifles/shotguns in the closet. What ya got, what should I stay away from?

remotes have worked just fine for this situation in db drag, some instances require an ir repeater but no big deal. Dont HAVE to have a ambilicle cord type setup to make this work.

You really cant go wrong with either company. Both are great companys backed by good support and customer service and as someone else mentioned dont leave out DC as an option either.
