Well, if the sub will handle the full 1000+ rms, I'd say your fine getting the EV1500M and wiring it to 2 ohms. It'll do around 1000w rms at 2 ohms and your sub will handle 1150, so you'll be all set. This is assuming you can wire the sub to 2 ohms. What model sub is it?

Wait, the EV1500M is rated at 1500w rms @ 2 ohms and 600w rms @ 4 ohms. Also, if you're really concerned anything important might be lost, just back it up on an external hard drive. That's what I did but then found out it was all put in "windows.old" so it was kinda redundant.

When you install it, it should drop everything into a "windows.old" folder. You'll have to re-install programs though so make sure you have all the installation files/disks or know where to get them from.

LOL I wasn't saying get Damplifier, I was just using it as a reference. SecondSkin says 20 sq. feet of their stuff is good for a trunk lid, so 100 sq feet of anybody's stuff should be good for the whole trunk.

If you have 2 rolls of 33.5" L x 18" W, then that's equal to one roll of EITHER: 33.5" L x 36" W OR 67" L x 18" W You would only double one dimension, not both. In your original post, you said it was 67" L x 36" Width, which would be 4 rolls, not 2. Anyway, a "Trunk Pack" of Damplifier Pro is equal to 20 square feet (probably enough to do the lid), so I'd say 100 square feet of this stuff should be good to do one full layer for your whole trunk.

Grab some ring terminals for your wire and then bring one to the hardware store with you. Try out bolts until you find one thats the right size for the terminal and is also long enough to fit through the box.
