ha, ok so I guess its a good thing I dont have flex, gotcha. Well when I get the sub up n runnin on the new and improved bigger box, i will post a vid up or somethin. Lookin to get that AP 3000D very soon. Just ordered some Knukonceptz 0g wire so Im almost there.

Ha i think the other guy had it. As in how do I get it to push more air and such. This week I plan on building a new box when I get my new recone. Im thinkin between 5.5 and 6 would be about what everyone is saying. I have about 7-8 after dis if I have to but I think it should be more comfortable in 5.5. Any other advice? No I dont want to ghetto rig my car to look like its bangin harder(for the record) lol.

Thats always a possibility. lol, would 1200 watts even push it good enough in that big of a box? If i had an xl and 3k watts I would forsure.

Well as of now I have like zero flex.I really want to get the ap3000d and probably another dc. I just like how flex looks on vids but if it makes it sound worse then I would rather not.

Well Im not worried about DBz. I dont want flex bad enough to tear apart my car, just was wondering if a simple tune of the box would make my car flex more. I think it looks kinda cool but hey thats me ha

Im not saying that I want more flex on the box or anything. Im talking about flex on the vehicle itself. Whats wrong with vehicle flex?

What actually produces more flex. Is it the tuning of the box or is it just more raw bass? Ive noticed people who tune low ( around 30hz) seem to have more flex then people who tune high for spl comps. People on 10k watts who tune high dont seem to have as much flex as a daily tuned 30hz box with like 3k. Any advice on how to get more flex? thanks

Why not try to solder? you have nothing to lose, worse case scenario you mess up and you have to get a recone anyways. I would at least attempt it or find a friend that might be able to.

Well if your lookin to buy new, I would go with 2 aq 18s. Ive heard nothing but good about AQ and there 18s are 250 a piece. As for the amp, if I had the money I would go with the Audiopipe 3000d. I believe theyre about 300 or so. There are plenty of good deals to be had in the for sale section so I would check that first. Let me know how things go mayne. Sorry about your dad.

Thats basicly exactly what I had my 18 in before and it sounded beastly. Im sure a 15 with that amount of space would sound pretty much identical tho. Id get the 15 dc, bl or aq. I've heard nothing but good from all 3 brands. I do know from experience though that DC has great CS so its up to you.

How about an 18 facing up? Would be louder than 2 12s forsuree. I am saying DC because I own 1 =)

Basicly the same setup that I had in my trunk before and I'm workin on doing this week again. lvl 4 18" with 5.5 cft tuned to 32. I have a jbl bp1200.1 as of now but hopin to upgrade soon. I will post some vids when im done =)

What do you think about box sizes for an 18"? I know the recommended box size is 5.75 but I have also been told that may be a little big. Thinkin about doin 5.5 after displacement tuned to 32. Any other opinions, what are you guys runnin? thanks

Worddd. Just ordered my lvl 4 18" recone with lvl 5 coils. Best CS I've had in awhile! Gonna be hear in a couple days he said, can't believe it. =)

Yea that makes sense that .5 would be very difficult to fully power efficiently. I will really be surprised if it laughs off around 1k a piece since its 1200 rms but that would be great. Id rather them laugh at me then die, lol. I've been taking into consideration the ap amp for awhile now. Might just sell my jbl and buy the ap. ahh this is taking alot more research than I thought it would. Theres no straight answer for anything but thats the good/bad thing about it. I am going to figure out my amp situation before I order my recones.

Yea thats why I'm thinkin about stickin with the d2s. Dang 12 cubes, I wish I could fit that in my trunk. I have close to 8 so I'm hopin it will sound good. I understand about the recones n baskets. How about any deals on an amp that can run .5 or 2? I'd make the drive if it was worth it.

I didnt realize that DD could build a d1.5. thats def somethin to think about. You dont think that the recones will fit the 3500d's? How much do you think I could push these subs without pushin them TOOO hard? In your opinion. lol, well would it be worth it to come out there? =)

What are some good 2500-3k amps at 2ohm or .5?

Well im pretty sure ill be matchin my amp with another so it would be better for d2s. Im just worried that if I get 2 d2s that I wont be able to find a 3k amp @ 2ohms. I'm sure that sounds stupid but whatever, lol. d2s are cheaper through DD anyways so that kind of helps.

So d2s might be more efficient so I could run each to 1 ohm or run both to 2ohms right?
