  1. Saw the movie, didn't see SS, but I wasn't looking for it. Wish I would've saw this before the movie lol.
  2. Yea it's real close, I'm sure when I call Mechman we will come up with a solution. Dual alts does well so far though
  3. I'm not 100% if the external regulator is bad or not, but that's what I'm leaning towards. The 2 alts on my 2nd reg work great so far!
  4. Not sure how much amperage my Crossfire 8k pulls but I'm sure it's up there. On 2 alts while driving I don't drop under 14.2v. Haven't tested at idle yet. I will have to call you guys at Mechman today, my primary alt on my 1st external regulator wants to full field? I replaced the relay and all the connections but still same thing. I've disconnected it for now.
  5. Took me a little while to get money for a triple alternator bracket from DC Power but I finally got them in. Just wanted to say thanks again to Mechman for this great alternator!
  6. 2400 fits in my 06 Tahoe.I'd recommend 3 3100s and a 2400. 2 runs pos, 2 runs neg. Largest alt you can afford. Mechman 340s work well in my Tahoe. and I've checked yourebuild many times haha, thats where i got the idea for the 2400, love your build man! You'll have to post in my log and let me know what you think man! If you have any questions let me know.

  8. Yes it'll be enough to move it. You don't HAVE to overpower subs for them to get down. Your bdcp will help you get most of your power out of your amp, a majority of the time. Good luck!
  9. Run what you have first, see how you like it. Go from there. 10-12g is fine. I'd run either or.
  10. He has it, he just got the dd-1 recently.
  11. Set the sub level where you need it for it to detect the 40hz signal. If flat works, then leave it there. If it doesn't detect 40hz then turn it up to get more voltage to your RCA's. Know what I mean mayne? Yes car off.
  12. Yes there is more throw. The Z v.4 series is our 1750 RMS rated line they feature a 3 diameter 8-layer flat aluminum coil wound on spiral cut black anodized aluminum former. They feature our new spider, surround, and cone platform. Production linear x-max is around ~35mm one-way by 70% BL with a total mechanical clearance of 62.5mm in the motor. The Z v.4 series features a large internal magnet shorting ring for reduced inductive distortion. The X series is our 1250 RMS rated line -- they feature a 3" diameter CCAW round wire coil and our new frame, spider, surround, and cone platform. Linear x-max is around ~30mm one-way by 70% BL with a total mechanical clearance of 50mm in the motor.
  13. The Z and X series both use the new surround. Idk if I'd call them stupid big? Lol
  14. Do you have a proto or something? I'd bet they could possibly fit but even if they did I don't think it'll help much. The soft parts are optimized for those motors. Why not save the money you'd spend on a recone and just get a zv4?
  15. Might clamp my Saz 1200 pretty soon. I imagine a little more than rated by a couple hundred watts like all of their amps.
