  1. Yea I said 2 amps because I might just match what I have already. My amp is 1200 watts @ 2ohms but its 1ohm stable. So as of now I could run to 1ohm right? Then down the road if I got another then I could run each 1 at 2ohms. If I got 2 d2s then I could run both to 1ohm right? sorry for the confusion.
  2. Well if i eventually get a 3k amp @ 1ohm, then how would I wire 2 d2 subs? they couldnt be ran at 1 ohm could they?
  3. I'm ordering the recones today from DD. I plan on running them on 1200 watts at 1ohm. 2 d1 subs can be wired to 1 ohm correct? And, if I run each sub to its own amp then can I wire it to 2ohms? lemme know so I can get the right impedance. thanks
  4. Just heard tehbert0's setup the other day with his 2 18" nightshade 3ks. Those subs are sooo sick! never heard AQ's though but I only hear good from them. my 2 cents
  5. Is there enough room to face the port the same way as the subs? What is this going in and which way is it facing?
  6. Alright so hit it from the outside. Im not worried about damaging the old basket so should I just heat up the glue a little bit and then hit it with a rubber mallet?
  7. Should I just hit it from the inside of the basket then? I can kind of see some glue around the bottom rim of the basket. Sorry for asking all these ?s, just dont wanna mess somethin up.
  8. Alright ill try the blow torch first. if that doesnt work then ill try the acetone.
  9. alright thanks, ill give it a try. Shouldn't hurt the mag or anything right? or should i just apply a little to it and keep it from running down?
  10. I would do that but its completely glued on. Is there any appliant that will help deactivate the glue?
  11. anybody? I know its a noob question but I plan on taking them off today.
  12. Just got some DD 3500 motors and apparently they were glued on. How do I take off the basket without damaging the motor? thanks
  13. Are you looking for a brand new sub? If not, I have a DC lvl 4 motor for the cheapness
  14. I still have mine but it blew and nobody can figure out why =( Trying to sell the motor but may keep for down the road.
  15. I'm glad you know how that works because I sure don't. Never thought about it like that, so subs up port back looks to me like the easiest and most efficient. Can't wait to throw some DD 3515s in here!
  16. Hmm well if it doesn't sound any different then I would like to do subs up port back only because it would simply be easier. Then I'd have way more than enough room. Subs forward port up through the rear deck would be a good idea if I could seal the trunk. What would be the easiest and most affordable way to seal it off?
  17. The port along the bottom is a pretty good idea but I only have 18" high so the port would be pretty skinny. Porting it through the rear deck speakers is a good idea tho. If I did this idea wouldn't it be better to face them forward rather than towards the back? keep the options comin =)
  18. Yea I really liked how my sub up port back sounded with an 18. May have to do subs up port back again because I can only go 36" wide and I will have 2 15" plus 2 6" round ports so I dont think that they will fit all goin towards the back. If I could make it look like I0:0I, then I would but I dont think there is enough room. Might have to either try some 4" pvc or face the subs up. any ideas as to how this could work better?
  19. Alright so subs back seems the most efficient. Any advice on using pvc or is it pretty basic?
  20. Sounds reasonable to me. It was basicly between that or facing them up. My trunk doesnt rattle too much so either works for me. Anyone try pvc as aeros?
  21. What would be second best so that I wouldn't have to chop up my car? I liked that idea but I just can't cut up my car, sorry. any other ideas?
  22. Is there a way to tell the different types of motors just by looking at it? Is it labeled on the motor somewhere? help plz
  23. What exactly do you mean by through the rear deck. Would I have to have a hole in the rear deck for this to be efficient? Also, my seats don't fold down but I do have a little armrest that does. any ideas?
  24. I might have asked this not too long ago but now I really want to know which way would sound the best in a trunk. Wish I could have an endless supply of mdf and test it, but I don't. Don't have money to buy any deadener at the moment, so which would keep all the bass in the car the best? Also, if you had a plexi window for a side of the box, would it sound the same as mdf? thanks
  25. ha, I'm thinkin about it. I bet it'd be worth the trip, thats forsure. Lemme know on a good way to go about gettin a re cone and some baskets, plz =)
