I've heard of people spraying something over the entire inside to help keep the mdf nice and strong. any ideas as to what it is and if it would be worth it? So just put some tightbond over the seams and let it dry. Before we put the top on, put some silicone over all the seams and such. What should be applied to the top? Same thing?

Would it still be pretty airtight if I didn't use the fiberglass resin? or is it a must

Yea silicone was my first thought. Any specific order in which I should apply these?

Rebuilding my box soon. Wanted to know some good sealing ideas. Also, would any bracing be needed? Thanks

Yea I've noticed a slight smell with the lvl 4 18 also when im running it for awhile. Never gets warm tho so maybe the amp? Is it pretty easy to set everything with a dmm? I might just do that tomorrow

Alright cool. Guys I'm not tryin to say its the sub by any means. It just seems weird that it shut off all of a sudden and now my car smells weird. All I know is I'm stickin with dc even if the sub is blown because it's the nicest sounding sub I've heard by far! I don't want to waste anyones time, I'm just going to put it on the dmm and see whats up. thanks again for your time

Yea the problem I had before was easily fixed. Had the remote wire hooked up to the remote wire that goes to my steering wheel controls. simple mistake. Herrie I feel like you question everything I say, is there a problem? Trust me, all I want to do is fix my dc sub because its the sheeitt!

Idk, I dont see why that would happen. Im only giving it 1200 watts. It also kinda smells like mdf sawdust if that helps. Can I just get a price on a recone just in case? The sub will be on a dmm tomorrow so I'm not too worried yet. thanks

Um ok? it smells like straight rubber in my car so any ideas as to why then?

So I'm drivin home tonight, not bumpin to hard when all of a sudden my DC lvl 4 18 just stops working. It didn't make any weird noises or anything. My amp still lights up and stuff so I'm hoping its just some wiring that came undone. I will know by tomorrow for sure, but until then I would just like to know how much a recone cost's for this sub. thanks alot

Nice setup man! Hopin to get my lvl 4 18 runnin today off of 1200 watts. We don't live too far apart either, I'm from the pontiac area.

Seller is 100% reliable! Came over to his house, got to hear it in his car, sounded ridiculous lol. He built me a box to perfect specs and even helped me lift it into my car hah. but foreal, this guy is super cool and very helpful. BUMP for awesome seller!
