    If using stepdowns in a 16 or 18 volt system, will the stepdowns be able to handle the current draw of the starter? The 14v battery/16v charging system sounds more able to bridge the gap between the 12v stock and 16v realm. Thoughts?

    I have a 92 Ranger x-tra cab I'm getting ready to do as well. I like the suggestions you received. I already have my amps, just trying to see what do for subs as well. Thanks
