  1. I got mine today I am at work atm, so thats all for pics right now.
  2. It was built in about 3hrs after work Friday. Its not high enough grade birch IMHO to be worthy of staining. Its going out for vinyl this week.
  3. Did some test fitting this morning before it goes out for vinyl this week.
  4. Might do a little today, but I have to help a buddy with his truck. Going to run a SAZ-4500D daily untill I get the funds for a 2nd one. The subs are 10" Lightning Audio Storm X2.H10.V4 Neo's. For those who don't know them, they are TC Sounds 3k based. They were built by TC Sounds for Rockford Fosgate few years back.
  5. Yea, from the pictures they do look alot closer but there is actually 7" to the rear wall.
  6. There will be an amp/battery rack behing the seat and between the box. The SAX-100.4 and SAX-50.4 will have there own amp rack on each side of the box (not mounted to the box though).
  7. Indeed, I was highly considering staining it because I can get 3/4" Grade A birch from a buddy of mine for $80-90 a sheet. I went with Grade B birch because I am going to have the box and door panels wrapped in vinyl when I get them done. I still might run it bare for a while (untill the doors are done)
  8. The box will be wrapped in vinyl and the birch is not high enough grade to be stained (IMHO).
  9. They are 6" aero ports and there is OVER 6" to the back of th box, so no worries
  10. Built my box for my new build last night with some help from my buddy Timmy D. I just want to start off by saying, I am not one of those people who can stop in the middle of doing something to take pictures. So with that being said, I tried to make it up by taking a few extra pictures.
  11. I have no experience with the new version, with the updated mid and cross-over but I was extremely disappointed in the old version. The crossovers did not last, they were very poorly made. The tweeters (which as the same in the new version) are extremely harsh. This is in no way to put down DD because they make awesome subs and amps.
  12. Yea, its more the a "few dollars" more. Around here it is about twice as much as MDF but its worth the addition cost IMHO (stronger, lighter, and a lot easier to work with). A single layer of 3/4" will be fine as long as you use double layer on the baffle.

  14. They are decent subs for the money, nothing special but great for people on a really tight budget. They can be had for under $25 actually. My buddy was running four off a SAE-1000D for a while.
  15. WTF dude, your thread was up a whole 12 minutes. If you weren’t so impatient and came off like an ass , you might get more responses.
  16. You can purchase dirrect from DD if there is not a dealer in your area. My vote goes for a 9500G.
  17. Once my amp comes and I get it installed, I will get pictures and videos up. Going to start another box this weekend for bass race, going to be 4ft^3 @ 40Hz w/ dual 6" external aero ports.
