Full size or S-10? I am guessing S-10 based on Blazer, Jimmy, and Bravada but a Suburban is huge compaired to a Blazer. Max dimensions of my 2001 is 38W x 17H x 24-28D -
DC LVL 3 gets my vote.

That wasnt even an option...

what do you think about 6.5" speaker in an enclosure?
X2.H10.V4 replied to skittlesRgood's topic in Mid's and highs
I would not run them in a sealed enclosure if it is a midrange (playing anything above 500Hz or so). If it’s a midbass (playing around 500Hz and under) maybe, but there really is no need. Just deaden your doors good and with most decent component sets you will have plenty of midbass. Running them in a sealed enclosure is going to make them less efficient and hurt the upper end frequency response. -
Between the ones you have listed, either the Kicker ZX or JBL GTO.

My vote goes for the DC LVL 4XL

I am only using four but these things are rare, and couldn’t pass them up.

These were built by TC Sounds for Rockford Fostgate over 5 years ago (they also build the TRF subs for Rockford as many of you may know). They are pretty much a TC Sounds TC-3000 / Audiopulse AXIS. You could get neo or cermaic motors and you had two choices in top assmeblies, a "sq" w/ aluminum cone & d4 coils or a "spl" w/ honey comb cone & qvc 1 coils.
-
Build is started, just waiting on my amp to come. Need to "finish" the box, but don’t want to go through all the work and making it pretty and rebuild it 5 days later. 2001 Chevrolet Blazer 4 Door 4 - Lightning Audio X2.H10.V4 Neo's Sundown Audio SAZ-4500D (will add a 2nd down the road) Beyma Mids & Highs Sundown Audio SAX-100.4 and SAX-50.4 6ft^3 @ 35Hz w/ dual 6" PSP Aero Ports (probably end up building another box for bass race / bass boxing, ~4-5ft^3 @ 40Hz w/ 6" external aero ports) 2 - Optima G31's and Powermaster D3400
-
Manufacture rating is 1000rms but they will handle twice that daily *edit for those who don’t know, they were build by TC Sounds and use a 3HP / 3K motor. Neo version = Sex though

Jacob, have you ran T/S specs? If so, whats the fs? -
How about a clam shell type enclosure? You don’t have room for 4 10's and port area on a flat baffle. Another option would be a 4th order, with port firing forward or through the rear deck.
-
I would suggest a Sundown Audio SAZ-2000D but seems your pretty set on Kicker, so not sure why you made a thread. If you get cost on kicker, why not sell the D4's and get D2's and run a ZX2500.1 to the pair?
