  1. yeah, i wouldnt throw anymore power either, one of my first subwoofers were a 12" cvr, which blew up quickly by being to curious with a zx750.1
  2. I would go with a nice set of components and amp, i wouldnt put anything subwoofer wise in any built car especially over 200+whp. the sound of boosting or a nice set 2 step is all i would want in your case, just my opinion
  3. hifonics is great to me, I havent got to mess with the new series thats out, you can buy like a bxi2610 for like a little over $300 now since there old now.
  4. just got a new beat to share

  5. mine was alot more permenant, my windows and headunit never worked until i found this out. My escalade came with this cheap sony, and as i was driving it like a week later after getting it and the windows and headunit went out
  6. dude i had the same problem with my 99 escalade. it might sound funny, but i found out its the cigarette lighter, try and disconnect it for now, i bet it wont do it again.
  7. well whats your budget for the headunit?
  8. well i have the hc1800 on my stock alt in my tahoe. i did the big three a while back before i got the battery, but the voltage still drops pretty low with the amp, well thats with me, i would suggest upgrading the alt. i would of got a bigger kinetik, but i got a good deal on this 1800.
  9. yeah its a great amp, ive had it for a few months now, i bought it from Rickies Discounted something online for like $350 shipped ( i didn't feel like waiting ), like derrick said that its 3000 rms bridged at 2 ohms, but your stuck at 4 or 1, but in general its a good amp. you can always try it. but in your scenario im not sure if you should
  10. Yeah, i did this once before on my tahoe. I'm not sure if 2wd and 4wd are the same but on my 4wd, I got the torsion bar unloader that i rented at autozone i think autozone( Looks like a C clamp ). It should come with instructions on what to do. Or you can get a write up from autozone too. Just watch out, those torsion bars are scary sometimes
  11. well what i was guessing, when i was first installed my first ever 4ch, i tap'd on of my speaker wires on my amp( i was an idiot for leaving my truck on ), then i went to turn it up and i had this permenant whine. Its common for pioneers, ive never seen any other deck do this.
