Well im started to get the car re-painted to cream and put the rims on 14" x 8" wide The body work needs abit more doing but it will be completed soon ill keep it updated as much as i can on the build. This is a small car with big sound in trunk Specs : 2 x 12" Solo X's powered with Mtx 4kw amplifier, Kicker components and wiring.

I think that amplifier is only fused at 60 will not even use that more like 50 so hes ok for now until he upgrades to something better. Well done on using kicker im a fan too.

You cannot compare a W7 to an L7 for a start there not in the same category. For me id say the L7 there alot louder and how can you say same box same amount of power makes them equal you would have to go with the right amplifier and right box size the manufacture says to make it a fair battle. about the solo x ive had the 12s and had problems giving it over half power they just generate to much heat and causes it to distort they can handle the distortion im giving it when its heated up but it gets to a point i took the subwoofer out the coil was nearly fried was black in colour from copper. Ive never cooked a coil yet though they are pretty tough. They 'did' have internal problems on the new cones but its been fixed that problem now just so you know...

Hi chris from UK agen i was after the RF TE4 but i got a good deal on the MTX THUNDER ELITE 4001D rated 3750 RMS 1 ohm but does anyone know how well they perform are they overated or under feedback im after here are some pics of the board nice cooling system though fans go one by one.

How much you asking if you ship it to UK? Would love that from a standard 70 amp lol

You can lock them up with that amount of power no wonder your after recones im kicker mad but im only feeding mine 1500 RMS havnt done the build yet but i aint giving them more than that for music will get ridiculous and ill be after recones like you lot!

Perfect direct insert they fit straight in the BAM is the same they have change the new Spairs though! But i Garentee they fit in the 04 BAM!!!

Series would be 20 ohms Parrellel would be a dangerous 0.8 ohm. Why dont you just sell the amplifier and get one that can handle a 0.5 ohm load and your onto a winner with 5 subs?

That box is awful sorry, youd be better of buying a ready made one.

You hardly see 1 x 18" Sub in the UK but 8 you are of your head your going blow that SUV up. Will you be getting the true wattage out the amplifiers? Im so glad that someone is crazy enough to do this though respect.

I did this with one of my kicker solo x as you saw in one of my install i have a little car and it was under 4 cubic feet so i did all calculation with sub in the box worked a treat but i know it is cool to watch the coil up and down in rear view mirror! I guess its louder because the cone is pushing more air in the box as theres more cone area inside then out the box.

Ive heard solo x's run power over to 3.5k without locking up though so i may feed the there asked 2.5k. I could always change the install if it isnt loud

If i was to wall the car i could get around 20-25 cubic foot for the 6 15's, but the thing is im not sure if i want to wall it i have 2 solo x's already and i want it pretty loud i know these subs are suppose to be quite good i want them to be loud outside the car so you can hear it outside the car for great distance at shows. i was thinking of the 3 12's running on 1600 rms kicker amplifiers each sub which would give me 4.8kw power, i think the 3 12's in a 10 cubic foot box would sound good but i want them ported bewteen 25-35hz. What you think? BTW if it comes to it i will wall it with the L7's but i want to know if i could get the 3 12's loud enough or best i can out of them.

Well id think 6 15" would demand respect. but ive already bought SOLO X 12" would hard to sell on in UK. But i would soon buy 6 15" L7 if its going to make it lot louder.

Right measured up for both dont know what would soud best im looking at a 10 cubic foot box what you all think would sound better 6 15's or 3 12's, if you dont know the power rating the solo is 2500 rms each and the L7 are 1000 each. All though it depends on cone surface so the 15's would produce more all though the 12's would be higher rated, i listen to low bass Rap, RNB if that helps you decide better
